26 RepliesTime out. Try this mindful perspective for a moment. Probably not realistic from a design perspective but...there is a point. Stay with me. Say a single weapon design, brand new, not a reskin, takes a few days (72 hrs) to fully do. I'm talking getting the right sounds for shooting, reloading, proper gun model to base it on, imaging and testing. Completely new. Never seen or heard before. Now multiply that by say....50 for a somewhat decent loot pool. That is 3,600 hours in guns. Divide that into hours per day (24) and you have 150 days. Basically 5 months. Now, that's alot of time to spend on guns, and apparently people also want this as well as new enemies, and areas, etc. If reskinning an existing weapon cuts the time and cost, to allow that working power to be used somewhere more important to the game, then there really shouldn't be too much of a complaint from a realistic standpoint... I mean "content" is subjective to opinion of course so your milage may vary. Some like this concept, and others don't. But you get what I mean with all this...right?

I can understand armor to some extent, but not weapons. I really dont care if we get a rocket that looks like a D1 white-rarity variant, long as it performs well, it gets a pass.

I understand the problem with reskins, but to the people that are probably thinking about returning exotics. Lemme stop you there, exotics can come back 1 of 2 ways. 1. Old exotics can come back if there is the equal or more amount of new exotics. 2. Old exotics are brought in during free updates, and the new exotics come with paid DLC.

10 RepliesWeapons I couldn’t care less about. Armours on the other hand, that’s lazy. Not to mention the fact that it’s “earn through activity” armours that are getting the reskin, while “‘earn’ through eververse” armours get the new designs.

I don’t mind the reskin of old D1 armor at all but I hate that it’s a reskin or several different sets moshed into one. I’m a full set or bust sort of guy, so it looks weird to me.

So long as they bring back holdfast type 2 armor for titans then I'll be fine honestly. The titan armor in D2 really isn't all that great in my opinion, plus fur is just too good. Miss being a better looking mini Shaxx

3 RepliesMy issue isn't cosmetic. Frankly the ability to get the perks you want on armor you love is just tedious. I dont know why primary ammo scavenger or finder is a thing. I cant think of one time where I just sat and thought if I dont get more primary ammo I'm going to die. Even if they did make it a thing who would choose it over special or heavy? Why did we need to add scavenger perks for every single gun type in the pool so that the rng can bite even harder? Why are enhanced perks only available on like 2 armor sets in the whole game? Why did we even put resistance mods on armor. The way they are built you would make an armor set that gives you reduction on the different elements. With the rng on perks and the rng on the elements is anyone actually building their armor based on any of this or are we all simply rolling what looks cool and looking for like 2 perks?

the reskin of old armor sets, is nothing more than the fact bungie dont want to create new stuff after all ... best example.. ships and sparrows . than the fact for NEW quests, we have to run OLD strikes we already played 100x times. the fact to all of this is , bungie got already the money they wanterd from the game, and from the year 1 pass ...there is no more option to squish out more money, so why bother to bring out new stuff ? the new stuff we get is bound to the year 1 pass because they have to create content for it. and they do it with a minimal efford and motivation.just so much , that year 1 pass owners dont have a reason to complain

When the said armor/weapon is part of paid content it is totally unacceptable. But hey, “making content is too hard” right bungie? Wait...what does your company do again? Oh, make video game content? Yeah, about that, if you find your actual conpany that’s designed to do something struggles to do that thing, it might be time to call it. Recycled locations, weapons, armor and missions isn’t making content, it’s lazy and cheap and the non fanboys know this.

9 RepliesIf D2 actually had a decent loot system as D1 does and Bungie didn't remove things like Faction vendors that removed 3 full sets of gear? I don't think this would be that big of a deal. IMO there needs to be some major improvements when it comes to the gear/weapons and how much is added to this game. There are way too many duplicates that make matters worse. I wish someone would open their eyes...

They need to stop it with the armour as it makes no sense. Why was the old Mercury set used for the vanguard one only 2 seasons later? But of course Eververse gets 3 new sets each season, one for the season and one for the Eververse, sorry, free event.

3 RepliesThey use older frames and update them with new designs. I doubt Bungie has the time to make brand new designs for everything if they can't even come out with enough content for each season. Id rather have more content than new weapon models, but that's just me.
