Alright alright get it out of your system, I'm a sexist or whatever. You done? Ok let me explain
End game is without a doubt one of the greatest films in recent memory, bringing together people from around the globe to celebrate hero's and villian's in all their glory. It was funny, heart warming, emotional, action packed, and a fitting conclusion to Thanos and the avengers story... However!
Captain Marvel felt really forced into this movie, she basically does 1 thing of actual importance and disappeared untill the end of the movie where she gets a circle jerk about how great she is and destroys the war ship. Now before you jump to conclusions I would feel the exact same way if freaking Adam warlock came out of nowhere, or if Nova popped out of the blue
And then there's that whole "girl power scene" which wasn't all that bad... However Nebula should have lead the charge, because she actually went through trials and tribulations throughout the movie unlike Marvel who disappeared untill the end
But hey that's just my "sexist" and "regressive" opinion

2 RepliesRejoice all ye fragile men!!!! I read someone edited Endgame and uploaded it to the internets. They removed all offending feminist, SJW, most of Captain Marvem and other 'gay shit'. -No Hawkeye training his daughter -No women leader conference, no gay support group talk -Moping/Dialogue/Filler in first act severely reduced -Any science babble that isn’t necessary to understand the story is gone. Nothing takes you out of a movie quite like pseudo-science. -Tony doesn’t ask his wife’s permission to save the universe. -Female sorceress gets scared of Hulk and just gives him the stone. -Tony doesn’t meet his Dad, Thor doesn’t meet his Mom, it’s pointless. -Sadly [Thor is] unsalvageable in general, but I did the best to make him more dignified. -Black Panther isn’t the first revived Avenger to arrive and gets a bit less time, he’s really not that important. -Women in final battle severely reduced. In particular Pepper has no business being there. -In general, whenever it felt like Marvel sniffing its own farts, that part is probably gone.

5 RepliesEdited by Catty_Wampus22: 5/14/2019 5:35:35 PMThese complaints are kinda all over the place. People are here crying she was an OP, Mary Sue boss Killer. Then they turn around and complain she didn't go back in time with them and how easy that would have gone with her there. They complain she had no character arc when the 1st Iron Man came out in 2008, Thor and Captain America in 2011 and Avengers in 2011 or 2012......of course these characters have had more of a character arc, they've been around about a decade and all had 3 solo movies and a few Avengers movies! Captain Marvel only came out the other month!!! People complain she is too arrogant but then admit Tony Stark acted the same way through at least two of his solo movies (he was a pretty big asshole in Iron Man 2).....so why was it ok for Tony ro be like that for years but not her for two months? And I'd even say Tony was far more pretentious than Captain Marvel has been. And going back to why didn't she go back in time? 1st she can't just teleport to Earth, it takes time. 2nd it was to advance the story and set up the final fight. If CM swooped in and just grabbed the power stone like many of you wanted Nebula wouldn't have gotten caught, Thanos wouldn't have discovered their plan and been able to send past Nebula back to pull him and his army forward to the current timeline.

2 RepliesEdited by gamerjolt90: 5/13/2019 8:19:05 PMYeah she's just a boring character who felt forced. She didn't however make me bring down my review any.

The woman behind captian marvel is actually sexist...
perhaps you could join the void...
-
that was a cardboard cutout of Cap M. stawp. 😂
-
If she were a good actress, then it would’ve been much more bearable.
-
3 RepliesLol A character gets 15 minutes of screen time in a 3 hour movie and people freak. Get a life people.

14 RepliesSo there'll be spoilers, for anyone who for some reason hasn't seen the movie, and has also elected to go on this thread for some reason. Captain Marvel's inclusion in the movie was strictly to the detriment of other characters. I was expecting Tony to figure out a way home (kind of integral to his character), to echo the sentiment of Iron Man 1. Instead CM shows up out of no where, and saves him, removing a potential great character moment. The final scene was... not good. Why did we see her fight Thanos for longer than Iron Man did? It's his last film "oh, but he couldn't hold his own as long" infinity war says otherwise, and that's also the point. It's his fight, and while he does get the finishing blow, there is little to no lead up to it for him. In fact he was somewhat, along with Strange, Bucky, Black Panther, Hulk, and war machine, very absent from the fight itself. I get it Marvel, she's the "new face" of your brand, but this is the last movie for many of the heroes people have grown to love over a ten year period. And pushing them aside to give this new character the spotlight, again, in the avengers last movie, was a big mistake.

1 ReplyYeah she was kinda just there but so were a lot of the characters so I don’t see why she alone is criticised.

1 ReplyEdited by Milk: 5/13/2019 8:53:59 PMCaptain Marvel felt wooden to me. Even in her own movie, she just feels stiff. Brie is a fine actress, she's just not a good fit for Captain Marvel. Will this change with time? Possibly, but I'm not feeling Brie as Carol.

3 RepliesI thought it was mediocre. Infinity War is way better.

1 ReplySounds like something a sexist would say.
-
I’ve been telling people more or less the same thing.
-
34 RepliesCaptain Marvel was there to remind you that what Thanos had done extended far beyond Earth and the Avengers. She was also there to give you a sense of how powerful Thanos truly was. Since she is arguably one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe. Dude, seriously getting tired of people saying, “I’m not sexist, but...” Then go in to nitpick any powerful female role that isn’t somebody’s love interest.
-
4 RepliesIt was a let down. The whole movie, so many holes in it.
-
1 ReplyThe actress that portrayed Captain Marvel probably won't be around too much longer unless she can shut her mouth about politics.
-
11 RepliesLot of people dont understand her role in this film... as a protector of many worlds, and not just earth, she had other obligations to fulfill. Despite this she still plays an important role in the movie, saving the heroes from Thanos' kamikaze near the end
But hey that's just my sexist and regressive opinion
Fixed that for you.

I'd just like to point out, Scarlett Witch literally has Captain Marvel's powers and then some.
^Wyoming

9 RepliesShe said Earth isn't the only planet on the universe. That's where she was most of the movie. And honestly, I feel if she was in more of it there would be a lot more -blam!-.
-
3 RepliesYeah their attempt to make Captain Marvel a "Strong female character" Was really just a arrogant female character.
-
1 ReplyImo she was just as robot-like in Endgame as she was in her own movie.
-
Edited by BADMAGIK: 5/13/2019 8:10:03 PMWhy are guys being so over the top stupid about female super heroes? Some of the female heros are badass. In fact, all the female actresses Marvel has chosen for the characters, those females have owned them. I thought it was badass as -blam!- to see Gwyneth Paltrow in full suit absolutely destroying shit with Robert Downey. People need to calm themselves about this garbage. P.s. this thread is dumb.
-
20 RepliesEh, I didn't mind her that much since she was only in the movie for what, 15 minutes? Granted, they definitely made her OP intentionally, she should never have been as strong or stronger than Thor. I did roll my eyes at the "girl power" part though, it was just so pointless. Other than that it was a great movie, dragged a little at times and I didn't like how they ended Capt America but yeah, still a solid movie.
-
4 RepliesHow? She was only in the movie for a grand total of 15 minutes and didn't really have an overly SJW moment. All except for the intro part where they talk about Thanos, but that was just her having a big head, not being a "YEAH WOMEN CAN DO ANYTHING!" shallow character...
