‘Endgame’ and ‘solo players’
Endgame activities:
The raids ([i]requires a mic’d pre built 6-man team[/i])
Nightfall’s ([i]requires pre made fireteam that can, at the very least, communicate what modifiers are being used[/i])
Competitive crucible ([i]yes, it can be played solo, but it’s ludicrous to deny how successful and pivotal teams can be at achieving wins[/i])
I’m sure there’s other things that fall in as endgame activities that I’m missing, such as the forge and other things, put a comment about it and I’ll add it.
At this point in time, if you are using the “I’m a solo player” excuse in Destiny, you’re shooting [b]yourself[/b] in the foot.
There’s LFG, there’s a group finder on the xbox club, I’m assuming ps4 has something comparable? The point is, there are options.

Endgame activities require more communication than a strike, they require and reward good team work, whatever the scenario may be.
If you have 5 dollars, and you’re a “solo player”, go buy some earbuds with a mic. They don’t have to be expensive. I promise you, your experience with destiny will be so much more enjoyable.

Yes I enjoy lfg. Stop playing. Look for a team. No team for specific mode. Keep looking. Still not playing. Find a team. I’m on pc so I have to send a friend request first. Wait for request to be accepted. Wait. Waiting. Send a message. Wait. Waiting. Get a message back, “I haven’t got your friend request, did you get mine?” Message back “nope, I’ll try and send another” Battle.net says I can’t because it’s already been sent. Message team leader to see if he has it yet. Wait. Waiting. He replies “I’ll google it” I reply “cool” Wait. Waiting. He replies “what region are you?” I reply “EU” He replies “I’m U.S” I reply “so what now” He replies “I need to quit my game, change the region on battle.net to the Americas, restart battle.net, re load the game and try again” 🙄🙄🙄 for focks sake. So I do all that and it works. 10 minutes later were finished. It took me more time to form a team than to complete the mission. I love lfg. Now I’m like “right I need to go on lfg, bllkxs to that I’ll play red dead2 instead” Matchmaking in the forge is like a breath of fresh air.

8 RepliesI down-voted it. They need to make EGC for solo players too, it’s as simple as that. There is no reason to cut the players who want to play the game solo out of the game. Unless they want the engagement numbers to drop until Activision fires them. That might be the goal.

2 Repliesit's simple. I don't want to hear yours or anyone else's face make noise in my ear. I suffered 14 last wish raids with 5 other people crying/arguing/complaining/chastising/screaming babies/almost impossible to hear/etc neveragain. remove all communication and play the game like a man. I've done just fine. it was never said anywhere that I'd be forced to talk to mouthbreathing losers to enjoy some downtime when I purchased forsaken.

7 RepliesI’m a solo player. I play comp, solo. That’s far more “endgame” than a fire-team of superhuman space zombies ganging up on mindless PvE opponents. That said, everyone has their own “endgame”. It may be PvP, it may be grinding for the perfect roll, it may be raiding or soloing difficult content. “Endgame” is simply what you do after you’ve done all the leveling missions to keep yourself engaged between content drops. There’s game enough for everyone, solos and teams alike. You are being an elitist, your title suggesting solo player’s endgame pursuits are less meaningful. That is why I downvote. TL/DR; Get bent.

3 RepliesThe argument's flawed. If I'm only shooting myself in the foot, why do you care? If I'm shooting others in the foot, then it's a game requirement. Specifically, not one that I signed up for or wish to participate in. My all-in gaming days were over before I graduated college - I don't spend all night raiding, I don't strive to be top 1%, I have household members that aren't conducive to an open mic, and, I can't state this clearly enough: [i]I don't care.[/i] From a personal perspective, being pushed into activities I don't wish to participate in during my gametime defeats the purpose of playing that game. From a business perspective, forcing it upon me or others that share my viewpoint is a great way to lose a player. I solo because I don't wish to be bothered. My choice, not yours. I'm okay never completing a raid. I can solo nightfalls when I care to. When I'm done with the game, I turn it off.

If you want to know what bungie thinks of solo player then just take a look at the destiny companion app 3 high level rewards for those who do pve patrol once every week compare to those who do raids - nightfall - strike missions - gambit and the crucible which is 9 per day which seems to be a bit lopsided if you ask me. I don’t mind do flashpoint or heroic adventures I just wish that there was more of it and not just a once every week thing

2 RepliesUsing a Mic would result in me considering myself too much of a nerd to continue living a complete and fulfilling life. It would also result in me becoming single and probably never seeing my children. Solo is a choice and for many it's a choice made because they don't want to communicate with others during their "down time". The problem isn't solo players, the problem is Bungie continually lying by saying the game is for teams and solo players.

2 RepliesPlease allow me to clear up any confusion. Bungie makes this game very hard to get a team together. From Destiny1, you need to resort to 3rd party apps and lfg, wasting time looking for randoms, only to have all the aforementioned experiences. Lets face it, People somewhat new to Destiny 2 will have a hard time reaching endgame due to the cancer that is our community. LFG looks like this. LW -600+ KWTD NF 550+ bring **** KWTD Don't Suck! This game puts up roadblock after roadblock, making endgame for semi-noobs and solo-players just about nonexistent

If this game had been sold as a co-op only game then I would agree with you wholeheartedly. However it wasn't, the Devs specifically said that it was also targeted at the solo player in numerous statements and videos. Bungie were very happy to take solo players money so they should provide a full experience for that player, not just half or three quarters of a game. It is unfair to blame solo players for being misled by Bungie.

Better communication features in the game would help a lot. Most people aren't opposed to using a mic or playing with other people, they just don't want to put in the effort of figuring out and using a 3rd party app to find people to play with. In Warframe, they have different chat channels, and you can just put a message in the recruiting tab and find a full team of players in about a minute. All without needing to leave the game or pull up another app. If D2 had a feature like this, I'm sure there would be a lot more people playing with others, and a lot less people complaining about the game being not solo-friendly.

3 RepliesThe only thing they need to change is to have different avenues available for the raid loot (or other end game content) to be had. For Example.... 1k voices - make it a 10% drop rate from the raid, and a .01% drop rate from strikes (or something similar) Luna's Howl - 100% drop chance from quest line. Or .001% chance from crucible match. Or alternative quest line that requires 1k kills from each weapon type in crucible. As a solo player I don't mind the grind. Just give me options to have stuff without forcing me into certain content to get it. I am fine with said content making acquisition of the loot easier, thereby giving those who raid or those who focus on EGC a greater chance of success, but still allow those of who choose not to raid or do other EGC a way of getting it as well. We all paid for the game. Why can't us solo players have a chance of getting the sweet loot too?

19 RepliesAs a Dad Gamer I am limited in both time to play and when I can there is usually a baby in the room, so I usually solo out of respect for other players who do not need to hear a crying/babbling baby or who do not want to wait for a dad to stop playing to attend to a 4 years olds needs or the baby falling down again. I realize this is my choice, but to say that I use “I’m a solo player” as an excuse is not fair. I believe that I should be allowed to play the content that is made available (Forge has matchmaking) for me. I am at 607 and Forge activity is outside of my PL and outside of matchmaking at this level due to the fact that you need solid communication for the “Cheese’s” to work. 3 Forges = each forge scales up from 610/615. No reason that couldn’t have worked.

I have always been a solo player whether is D 1 or D 2 is fun, but when it comes to raid n trails yea. I prefer playing with friends and Destiny have a good system with just playing everything with your team (fireteams), in terms of trails omg the D1 forms are way better

Solo players should play what they want and then move on to another game. The game is what t is and shouldn't change to be something it's not. That's what destroyed it when D2 launched.
