Don't waste your money on this crap. This is another attempt for bng to rip us off. We SHOULD NOT have to pay real $ for cosmetics. These should all be attainable through in-game play via bounties, level up Engrams etc. We've already paid enough money buying the game.

Here’s the thing, all these emotes were available during those seasons for in game play. They could have just not brought them back at all. But because they did and decided to charge for it, people are complaining. They are only Cosmetics and don’t affect gameplay at all. Eververse was crap before (dawning and other disasters), but they’ve made massive improvements since then. Nobody would be complaining at all had they not even made this available. Rather than just leaving it be for everyone who missed it to be completely left out, they made it available again but for cost. This is so the people who actually played during those seasons feel accomplished for having earned them appropriately and allowing those who didn’t who really want it to acquire it. The only time I think having to actually pay for the cosmetics is when 1)They actually do affect gameplay or 2)You couldn’t earn them via gameplay to begin with. I don’t necessarily agree that they should cost so much silver for a freakin emote (which I already earned all of them) but they could have just as easily not made them available ever again and left them exclusive to those that played during those seasons and earned them. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s way better than Y1 Eververse and way better than D1 Eververse.

6 RepliesNot that I buy Silver, but my only problem with this is that they don't make it permanent. Every other game with cosmetics that I've seen let you buy the item you want specifically when you put real money into the game. I don't understand how Bungie thinks it's okay to allow RNG to dictate what you get when you've dropped cash on their game multiple times for the sole purpose of customizing your character.

Cosmetic so IDC.

Edited by O_Town_Racer: 11/6/2018 8:53:58 PMNo, originally Bungie told us that if you missed a seasonal exotic emote, that was it - you would not be able to attain it. They are now offering a method for those for whom it is important can claim those old rare exotics. For me personally, I get enough from the free bright engram drops an may occasionally purchase one with bright dust. It's not a scam if you don't waste your money on them. If someone wants to pay real money for an emote, who are you to tell them they can't. To each his/her own.

6 RepliesI can see you are frustrated but for the wrong reasons. Lots of games do this to add flair and spice to their game. Paying real money for emotes is not a problem at all because it has no effect on the game. I have the Iron Lord emote AND the Pennywise emote. I spent 10$ cause they were new and fun emotes. The issue you should be taking offense to is the fact they are selling OLD emotes for 10$, 5$, and 2$ for exotic, legendary, and rare emotes respectively. To buy every emote would cost 76$. Newer players are gonna be more inclined to buy the exotic ones so lets say all of the new players buy the two old exotics that took Bungie probably a day to recolour(remember these are recolours, nothing is new). Lets say there are 100K new players(IDK the numbers but seeing how the majority of players are new now lets just use that clean number) 100,000 * 20 = 2,000,000. Two million dollars of raw cash in the bank from just recolouring an old emote. Thats ALOT of dough for no effort at all. Be mad at the fact that they are selling old emotes and not taking the time to make new ones for the surge rather than the fact they are selling them, cause they already sell cosmetics through bright engrams. This is just direct purchase of what you want

I do not ever spend "real $" beyond what the actual game software costs. Oh another emblem to delete, another shader to delete, another ship/sparrow to delete. Just not worth it. And YES, I still have all the silver that I "purchased" when I went ahead and paid full price for the latest dlc. Could I have paid less, yes, but when looking at the difference between $70 and $80. Ten dollars if not going to break my bank account. and it was $40 for the basic - well, guess what, if you are going to sell me 3 more "upgrades" down the road and I can bundle purchase them all ahead of time expecting that the cost later will rise. only made sense to purchase full edition at the time.

1 ReplyEdited by gizzamaluke: 11/6/2018 7:14:35 PM
We SHOULD NOT have to pay real $ for cosmetics.
Disagree. We should not be able to pay for something that will improve our stats or make the game easier but it really doesn't matter if we have to pay for cosmetics... don't like it? The solution is simple: don't buy it.

4 RepliesIn other games I gladly pay for cosmetics.. Young ones you need to understand.. Compared to other games.. Destiny is cheap.. Other games with micros can get very expensive.. My last ship I bought cost almost 130$... Yeah depressing considering it’s sitting in my imaginary garage with 62 other ships.. But my space Barbie is strong.. Zero regrets..

So glad you are here to tell people what they can clearly see,but hey if I missed something I can buy it if I choose.

Ha, ha ha, op trying to start a riot and is getting slammed. Let people be. It's their money to spend as they please. And this is a great revenue stream and opportunity for those that missed out.

6 RepliesSomeone explain to me what this is?

5 RepliesLol people pay $20 for a single outfit in Fortnite.
-
Its not a scam if you buy a product and get that product in return. It’s completely voluntary and completely cosmetic. Eververse deserved some flak in the past, but they’ve already made it a lot easier to get what you want. If you REALLY want to start a shitstorm, get absorbed by politics and voting today and take to the streets to scream about the end times.
-
Im fine with it. Of course I dont buy emotes for real money anyway, but if Bungie needs the extra cash to support the game, then please, people buy up.

Ahhh I see the Reddit crusaders are back...lol 🍿🍿🍿 ✝️

Huh... last time I checked what people decide to do with their money was their own business.
