Bungo not respecting people’s time or intelligence yet again.

5 RepliesEdited by mpuchar: 9/28/2018 3:26:03 PMDon't worry guardians, they're renaming MW cores. All of our problems have been solved!
-
1 ReplyI got a better idea then cores for infusion, how about give us back our original d1 weapon and armor upgrade system you say our choices should be meaningful ummm they are digital guns no meaning to them I want to play the way I want with the guns I want not how you want.

Fix titan 1 shot melee at revive in comp

3 RepliesAs it seems the entire Destiny community is unhappy with the current state of masterwork cores and the proposed fix. Not just in here but everyone I talk to in my clan. In the next TWAB I think it's time for the people behind this fiasco to eat humble pie and apologise for getting it wrong. Do the right thing Bungie, just remove cores from the cost of infusion. You're always asking for our input, well you've got it resoundingly. It would go a long way to make up for all the cores we've wasted to drop some cores into the postmaster for us all as a gesture of good faith.
-
1 ReplyDo you guys even care about what your community wants? Nothing gets broken if we can infuse whatever and whenever we want...there was nothing wrong with the way you had it originally...this is just another example of you breaking something to sell us the fix...stop deliberately breaking things that work.,.. How much do you guys wanna guess this will wind up on some idiot roadmap, like the shaders...

Rolmfao, misleading you say? No, no it’s not. Since it’s “too hard” for everyone at bungie to use your brains let me help you break it down. Originally masterwork cores were used for converting weapons and then armor into masterworks (since vanilla D2 and both it’s y1 expansions were so lacking in content you had to add something for the no lifers to grind for). Now in y2 with forsaken they are used for masterworks and infusing gear (even though the cost for masterworking a weapon or armor has gone through the roof compared to y1). Misleading you say? No, it’s just another layer of unneeded grind and a killer in the fun department.

28 RepliesEdited by ChillinWitDillon: 9/28/2018 3:36:48 AMMy intelligence has been thoroughly insulted. WE misunderstood the purpose of masterwork cores? Uh, no we didn't. They were specifically added to the game for the masterwork system. You just changed your minds. I didn't play your last 2 expansions because you tried to throw dirt in my eyes with Curse of Osiris. I dodged that expansion like a baseball to the head, so now, I'm coming into this expansion, COMPLETELY dry of masterwork cores, or whatever you plan on changing the name to. I can't Masterwork good weapons OR infuse my favorites up. Nice going Bungo. Edit: Who had the bright idea to add quest exotics to the random loot pool? This is straight up POINTLESS (besides not needing cores, which is a solution to a problem you created intentionally, mind you ) unless you want to artificially increase the grind. I hope that person's stuff is in a box, on the sidewalk, because....whoa nelly. Calm down. Fact is, it's stupid. I completed the quest, what do you think I'm gonna be thinking when a second Ace of Spades drops? "This Ace is a memoir from Cayde-6. He left me a message, asking that I take care of her. THIS Ace popped out of a Hive Wizard on Titan. Oh, and THIS Ace fell out of a Cabal dog after I punched him in the nose." Riveting.

Renaming cores... lol what a patronizing and trollesque response. Let's rename them and maybe you peons will avoid getting confused. Oh, btw we'll explore further options in the future. Let me guess, did Luke Smith think of this? I mean, what kind of responses were you expecting when you came up with that? Surely you knew the amount of backlash this would cause???

39 RepliesThank you Cosmo for addressing the MWC issues. What it appears your design lead is saying is “we’re not listening.” I think the overwhelmingly opinion was remove MW cores from infusion and increase the drop rate. As usual you guys “know best”. Remind us all again how that went for the first year of D2, because I can’t recall. 😜

Edited by Crimzon222: 9/28/2018 7:52:24 PMNO. REMOVE THE MASTERWORK CORES FROM INFUSION. Not make it cheaper, not increase their droprate. REMOVE THEM. Very, very few people like the idea (if any). Who is behind that horrible idea to include them. They need to be demoted. Are you trying to get people to stop playing your game? You guys already lost thousands of potential customers due to bad decisions, here's an idea... "Stop making bad decisions."

12 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 9/28/2018 2:27:53 PMEdit: Bungie does know that they could have prevented a lot of the unnecessary attention they are getting right now right? and have been since D2 released? I'm beginning to think Bungie likes it because not much has changed in 4 years in the decisions this company makes. They keep changing things that work but have this flawed logic we won't break it. It's amazing how after ROI that this company can't catch on or they are deliberately refusing to make the right decisions. It's good that they kind of listened I guess, but it's bad that not much has changed with the way they go about things. At this point, I don't know if this is more of Activision or Bungie, but I do know this, they are the wrong companies to be working with each other. Look at D1 Y3 and how everything was relevant, meaning all the old content was updated with a hell of a lot of weapons and gear to grind for. Do you know why gamers really enjoyed ROI? The progression didn't have a high cost just to drag it out. The incentive to want to run the old raids etc was there giving the player base a reason to want to grind hours upon hours, it became that hobby you guys said you were trying to create for D2. I know no not everyone likes the way I express my opinion, but it doesn't take brain surgery to figure out if the previous content is kept relevant especially knowing there really isn't that much content? the high-cost wouldn't be a thing and that is a fact. And? this company wouldn't have to keep looking for ways around things like they do the majority of the time and can start making this game as it was intended to be. A hobby, not a job that streamers seem to be mainly the only ones that have time for.

More and more it seems as if not purchasing a season pass was a good financial decision. I hate that I feel that way!
-
1 ReplyJust remove them and increase drop rates. Problem solved. Please hire me.

Boy, was I red in the face. Here I thought "Masterwork Cores" were for masterworking. I apologize for my assumption. Hopefully, sarcasm means the same to you as it does to me. Wouldn't want to be embarrassed a second time. Also please thank the person who came up with the idea to use Masterwork Cores for infusion, but totally leave it's acquisition at the hands of the RNG gods. Brilliant idea. Then send this appreciation to the superior that said, "Yeah, let's run with that, but make it only purchasable via legendary shards." I like the inception idea, brilliant.

Did they low key nerf 180 hand cannon fire speed?

Make Xur great again Give him one forsaken exotic per week. Just one. It will be enough for me. I have toiled long enough.

4 RepliesEdited by DeadlyMenace: 9/28/2018 8:34:34 PMWhy only “increase the chance of dropping an exotic we haven’t already got”?!? Why not “guarantee dropping an exotic you haven’t already got”?!? If they’re supposed to be rare and “wow”, then at least guarantee they’re “wow” when you finally get one ffs.

I can definitely foresee myself quitting playing Destiny. My clan and i really haven’t enjoyed the game. Seeing this artificial grind is definitely making me regret my forsaken purchase. If things continue to be adjusted for time gated grind i will no longer support the game by playing or purchasing future content. I bought this game to have fun. Not to have a second job.

1 ReplySo with all the random rolls and options we have now we can’t test weapons and builds because it’s way to expensive to upgrade them. So deleting potential gear builds is limited to guess work and spread sheets. Who’s the genius at Bungie who can’t understand this fact? It would improve a gamers experience ten fold! Why because we like to experiment with the build that works for us. Not sit on gear just because it’s a higher light level with perks we want to try but we cannot because it’s to expensive to upgrade!

5 RepliesWhere’s the “fun” in using a shit weapon or armor solely to be a higher LL? If “core” were removed people would be able to play around more with gear as opposed to being restricted to certain gear because they may not have the appropriate materials. It truly is a sad progression system. Just wait till they cap the amount of cores you can earn in a week! I’ll laugh my ass off.
-
Oh dear. More complaints.
-
Maybe you guys should consider a player summit... only this time having a non-streamer, more diverse crowd including all types of players instead of just 12+ hour a day streamers. don't worry, I'm not suggesting me, you couldn't afford to pay me enough to give you real feedback... you can only afford my free opinions...
-
Damn... pitchforks are in full effect. I don't blame anyone for being angry.

I understand where bungie was coming from with mw cores, infusion should be meaningful. I wonder if people are complaining about the lack of mw core drops because they used them all while leveling from Warmind to the end of the forsaken main story. Of course that’s just speculation. I do agree there needs to be more sources, like what if masterwork cores dropped at a rate between rare and legendary engrams?
-
Also, the problem is not the drop rate of exotics, it's that they are just trash exotics.
