Think about it:
-Masterwork Cores for every infusion, catered to those who stockpile
-Last Wish raid completion less than 1% during the first few days, almost all that did are streamers
-second and third Seeds of Light (character progression) currently only available from endgame team activities
Being even semi-casual no longer exists as an option. Bungie wants you to invest a part of your life into Destiny if you really want to have fun, which is ridiculous if you ask me.
And here's the thing, Bungie does listen. Just not to you or anybody else who isn't a popular streamer.
What ever happened to the casual/hardcore balance that was there at the end cycle of D1? And why the hell did it go away? -_-

Casual has and will always be an option. Just no longer THE option. If you only have a few hours to play, don't expect anything other than a few hours worth of toys. People that play all the time will always have more and do more with the content because they invest into it. You're investing a nickel and wanting a Benjamin in return. Not gonna happen, sport

4 RepliesEdited by name-not-needed: 9/25/2018 5:00:34 PMWhile I get what your coming from with the third seed, there are so many lobbies for blind well. Every time I go in there, there is a fire team. You don’t need your own fire team to complete it by any means. There are enough people there to complete it more often than not.

16 RepliesYou want to be a casual but you want everything in the game?just no that's why d2 in year one was ***** If you want all the stuff or the best stuff you have to grind you have to play you have to do activities. #nomorefreeloot

I don't invest my life into destiny 🤔 and yet I can do everything. If you not willing to put in effort into a hobby then drop it. As you say no lifers so go put in effort getting drunk and partying since for some reason that's better

Fúck outta here with that crap. They literally just made it easier to obtain Ace of Spades because people like yourself were complaining about getting 5 kills in Gambit. Bungie already said they are going to add the 3rd seed of light to other activities since the raid has been completed. And complaining that the raid hasn't been completed by more than 1% already? The raid has only been out for a couple weeks, obviously everyone isn't going to be high enough light level to play it. If you're seriously going to sit here and complain about this shít then I suggest you start playing more "hardcore". You want to do all the activities as soon as they release? There you go, that's your solution. Fúcking babies complaining about casual/hardcore when the DLC hasn't even been out for a goddamn month yet.

2 RepliesEdited by hori: 9/25/2018 2:15:19 PMYea! Lets bash on everything that isn't true! 1. Masterwork cores are being reworked, stop crying 2. Last wish seems to be the hardest raid so far, 1% in the few days is fine? You said it yourself, its the first few days. I don't get why you're upset, you can't even do it at your levels? 3. They've already said that seeds will be obtainable through other sources. Stop crying Thanks If you want to play your way, go back to skyblock on minecraft, I heard its a lot easier there

Play casual. You will be able to play the raid start to finish in a months time. If you choose to play casually, you shouldn’t be in a rush to play end game content.
-
I’d consider myself a casual. I think the game is now back to the way it should have always been - the grind is what made this game what it was and what makes it so rewarding to crush a raid or get that exotic you’ve been wanting for a while.

Blind Well does not require a team with coordination. If you mean empty lobbies, here’s a tip: Load into the Dreaming City, and head towards the Blind Well. When you are about to trigger the loading zone, walk. It gives the servers more time to load, and it will generally give you the lobby that has more people in it on that specific server. If that does not work and it’s still empty, go to Orbit and load back in. This will give you a different server, with a different Blind Well lobby. Dry and repeat until success. If you mean power level, I would recommend you be 20 levels minimum below at least. That’s 520 Light for a Tier II. Not hard at all to achieve.

4 RepliesEdited by undiiviidual: 9/25/2018 4:11:32 PMSo you want to be able to play 6 hours and be completely raid ready? Jut because you can't week 1 the raid doesn't mean it's for casuals like you. Sorry, the raid is endgame. Sorry stuff is locked behind "challenging" activities. That's how it works now.

5 RepliesHey you filthy casuals had your year last year. Let us have fun now.

You can still be casual and level up all three of my characters are 545, I'm not drowning in cores but I'm getting them. The Last Wish raid is a larger raid, however I do think they can tone down the mechanics somewhat. Plus remember those streamers some of them went into double digit hours to finish it, shows how intense that raid can be. Second seeds of light are easy to get solo, I can walk into the Blind Well and others are in there all the time. LFG is full of people looking for others for their teams. The Blind Well isn't really endgame, I look at it as Archon's Forge from D1. Bungie has also confirmed that the third seed of light is not only available in the raid. If anything with how many avenues there are for Powerful Gear now, they have honestly made it easier for casual players like us to reach max power level. Plus I'm finding LFG for small items like Ascendant challenges, the major wanted bounties, adventures and story missions easy to find others to run with.

If you think you're a casual - but want everything in the game.. i feel like you're having an identity crisis. Although; masterwork cores for infusion is messed up, last wish - i have lots of time to do the raid, still haven't jumped in yet, seeds of light - got my second one just by jumping into blind well solo when i found other people doing it.
-
Who says we can't be casual? We won't be able to EVERYTHING anymore, but there's still plenty for us there. Due to lifestyle changes I'm expecting to become a casual in the new year. I've just got to get used to the idea that I'll no longer be able to do EVERYTHING, so will need to prioritise the most important things.
-
A small percentage of the community completed the raid during the first week, and that's a bad thing? Blind Well T2 is hardcore endgame now? In a couple weeks, everyone's going to be max light. Things aren't being kept from you because of your casual play, they're taking longer to get because you're not trying to get them. When your LL is higher and everything is trivial, they'll still be sitting there, waiting.
-
5 Repliesi'm somewhat casual, almost 560 on all characters, with my fashion souls nearly complete. It's not hard
-
I would say a large part of this is based around how you as a casual play. I get maybe...1-2 masterwork cores a day even though I play the hell out of it so I just go buy 3 of them from spider to make it worthwhile in some way. The raid have low completions isn't something new especially since it's probably one of the longest raids in the series. Most people, even if they were ready for it, probably wouldn't have completed it anyways. It's not as convoluted as Oryx was so there's that, but Oryx's raid also came about a month after the release of the taken king. It's still a stupid small number, but it's not like it's unheard of. As for the second seed of light, you don't have to be a hardcore player to get this. Assuming you've at least been doing getting your powerful Engrams, there's no excuse as to why you shouldn't at least be in the light level to do it. I got mine as a 511 2 weeks ago and the only part that was hard was figuring out what exactly what strategy was best to beat the activity. I think with regards to most of your complaints, they lie more so for players who play solo. You could easily play this game casually and get masterwork cores (not a lot of them) and your second seed of light. But being casual doesn't have anything to do with these particular complaints. Maybe it takes longer, but that's it.
-
3 RepliesThis is for the better. Remember what we had for a year. Besides you being casual don’t need full masterworked armor and gear. Want and need Two separate things . :)

Edited by Rapscallion: 9/25/2018 3:27:23 PMGuess not huh.. lol Hell I barely play right now, but this is a better game.

Back in D1 we used to call them "Filthy Casuals". I was a filthy casual because I didn't play every day. lol

You can play causally. There is plenty to do. Fact is: If you do more, you get more.

-Masterwork Cores for every infusion, catered to those who stockpile
this is wrong. you can infuse 2 dups together for only glimmer. Eg better devils into better devils. it only takes patients.

Edited by NateSix2Six: 9/25/2018 3:03:59 PMI got to say I disagree with you, lfg a raid or even the well of light I did last night and got my second seed of light. This is where the game needs to be though grindy and with lots of things to chase after.
