Recommended power is there for a reason! We wanted power level to mean something! We wanted Heroic Strikes to be hard! And currently, they somewhat are! So, save your damn feedback 'till after we reach 370! We can't keep saying things are too hard when WE JUST STARTED and then proceed to ask for those same things to be harder when we hit the cap! These two things cancel each other out, and asking for both is downright hypocritical.
Latest Edit: Below, you can find my 'evaluation' of a majority of the feedback I received on this post. (It was originally placed in a comment but due to a friendly recommendation, I am placing this comment in the spoiler box below as to not allow it to get lost in the comments.)

So, let me get this straight.
Through about 400 comments - most of which I went through; more so than not, we agree upon the problem lying on the incentive to do 'Heroic Strikes'. Where most place their points upon progression, where difficulty does not bring reward equal to it. More specifically, most expect a 350 activity to gradually raise their power level to that of it, if not beyond (majority of suggestions went toward it being at 360).
Thus, this points directly to that of a Rise of Iron progression system, where people want to run strikes 'till they reach a certain cap, and from there they top their progression off with higher level activities, those being raids and nightfalls and in D2's case, maybe Escalation Protocol.
Beyond that, it seems that many also want Heroic Strikes to still be relevant past the cap, which can be done through other forms of reward (grindable weapons and gear specific to Heroic Strikes).
In conclusion, we say let's keep Heroic Strikes where they are in terms of difficulty, but we want better incentive to do them outside of "Milestones". Do you agree by this sentiment? If many do, you may find a post concerning this in the Feedback section in a couple days.

to be completely honest with you, this game isn't rewarding in strikes. The loot is terrible and it takes too long to be completed.
-
2 RepliesYou miss the main points: Harder for shit rewards. No point. People like strikes cause they HAD gear to grind for. Heroic strikes don’t need to be near nightfall difficulty.
-
My thoughts exactly!
-
There is a difference between challenging & artificial difficulty. Challenging is a raid boss... mechanics or a puzzle... different enemy types with different attacks making you plot out a strategy to beat them (such as a room with snipers & suicide charging enemies). Artificial difficulty is making enemies bullet sponges. Destiny 1 had artificial difficulty, with bosses like Valus Tau'urc and the Hive Abomination ogre that just ate bullets for lunch. Just giving an enemy more health and damage to us isn't challenging.... it's just artificial.

1 ReplyOnly thing I complain is bungie removed timer on nightfall
-
7 RepliesIt took someone on reddit AN HOUR AND 45 F--KING MINUTES to finish ONE heroic strike. Not a raid, A STRIKE! Tell me again how there is not a significant problem with the difficulty as it stands now. 🤔
-
It's not the right type of difficulty. Make the enemies more numerous or with shields and smarter AI. Don't just make me do less damage and them to more through light level variances. Plus, it's not the difficulty, it's the lack of rewards. Outside of the Milestone doing heroic strikes doesn't fit into the progression to 385.
-
Shouldn't a hard activity, feel rewarding after completion, by getting something special? Remember when the fire team was booted to orbit, when wiping in the NF, and when you got a great reward, when finally finishing the NF? And I'm not asking for drops that far exceed my level, just something that makes me think "that was worth my time".
-
I agree—though I think it would be cool if they had a chance to drop a higher level exotic engram, as iirc all engrams dropped in regular activities are now at your level? Would spice things up a bit.

1 ReplyEdited by spidermanpower57: 5/11/2018 2:46:26 PMWell I like the news strikes and the 350 level to complete them.....I am tired of the complaints....People said the game is to easy now it's to hard.....Well I like what bungie did to the game....The 350 level to do the strikes should drop as you continue to play the game...

9 Replies350 Heroic strikes that are harder than nightfall but with no matchmaking and no rewards. And are glitched so you cannot even get your one way of light progression. A 9 man horde event which is light level 370 but gives low light rewards and is unplayable as it’s impossible to either get to 370 or find 9 other players on mars to compete with. A PVP ranking system which makes it impossible for solo queue players to process against teams. No exotic power progression. No Iron Banner power progression. The game was broke now it’s completely dead in the water. The lack of logic here is mind boggling. And why even bother with clan and trials clan engrams now? Just get rid of them. Burn the game down and start again Bungie. Honestly I’m a veteran alpha player and I don’t think I can continue anymore. Yea, yeah bye bye you say. Well if players who have stuck through the good and bad for 3 years + have had enough then Bungie should care.

12 RepliesThere's a difference between honestly challenging the player's skill and artificially slowing down progression. This is the latter. And it's not a design choice that should be praised.
-
12 RepliesIs the gear even worth it?
-
The difficulty isn’t the issue. The grind isn’t the issue. Timegating progression by making the weekly milestones the only method of obtaining powerful gear and not providing worthwhile rewards is the problem.
-
I don't think it's the power level gap that some people are having, it's just the modifiers have made things hectic. Like who's idea was it to put a 20x enemy melee damage modifier in there??
-
They definitely require communication. Also it’s solar this week so I apologize in advance for leaving every vex strike as they’re basically impossible to complete with randoms who don’t understand how Burns work.
-
Honestly I've found no heroic strikes to take longer than 45 minutes and I'm only 347 light. It's definetley harder but I find the challenge to make it more fun.
-
The strikes are easy! and now actually FUN! ..but I just want better loot and fixed progression issues
-
I enjoy the difficulty. But the real issue is the reward doesn't match the difficulty. Drops that are 15 levels under the recommend power level for heroic strikes for example, make a lot of people feel like they are wasting time. Not me personally because I'll just find different activities that are either more fun or more rewarding, but i understand the frustration
-
Heroic Strikes are harder than Prestige Nightfall... if that doesn’t tell you that there is a problem then I don’t know what will. Not only that, but they are a 350 power activity that only awards gear up to 340?!?! C’mon now Bungie, if you’re gonna suck any fun out of heroic strikes by adding modifiers like grounded, at least make the rewards worthwhile
-
6 RepliesYou're right, but we should at least be able to get around lvl 350 of light normaly without needing to complet weekly objectives. I don't play often, therefore I cannot obtain enough light to do strikes without getting shred to pieces. it's a problem for those of us that doesn't play multiplayer always. I loved, back in Destiny 1, to be able to join strikes and gain some lvl until I hit the cap and needed to do raids in order to lvl up some more. Now, we simply get destroyed because we must do every miles stone to obtain lvl. I'm not saying that the current Destiny 2 system is not good, it simply needs to be calibrated. I suggest to simply rise the light lvl cap to match strikes recommanded lvl and maybe a little higher to make it berable for those of us that aren't pro at the game.

Developers of D2=Content is too difficult to make! Gamers from D2=Heroic strikes are too difficult to run! Too funny! I'd call Ripley, but even he wouldn't believe this shit!!
-
1 ReplyI think the problem is a 350+ leveled activity doesn’t give u loot that’s 350.
-
At some point I wish someone in higher management would just say...”Hey guys, everyone seemed pretty happy with the basic mechanics and how the game worked near the end of D1...how bout we go EXACTLY back to that???”. That person will then get a massive raise cause they will likely save this game from an early death. I’m completely over this thing of, “we are bringing this thing back!!! sort of...but we made it better! We think...” no. It’s not better. Stop. Please. Just stop.
-
350 heroics = 340 loot? I smell some bullshit. We're literally stone walled every week, because the only shit that levels us up now are milestones.
-
I could care less about how hard people think the heroic strikes are, I'm more concerned that the strikes are dropping under recommended power engrams. I mean seriously, who wants to spend 20+ minutes a strike, getting your ass beat up, to win a blue 345 gear piece? I relish a challenge, but give me a pay out above the recommended power level at least.
