Seriously Bungie D1 Nightfalls were fun because u could sit back relax and take your time to get it done. Now with D2 you have to race through it cause there's a timer worst idea ever. Bungie Seriously go back to the way nightfall was on D1 Please.

1 ReplyI'd be fine with it if this week's prestige mode wasn't broken.
-
I don't like them now. I liked them better in D1. I'll do em because of the loot. But they seem like a task rather than being fun.
-
Bump. I miss the difficulty of modifiers, not being rushed only to fail when the clock runs out because of a poorly designed boss mechanic.
-
You horrible
-
2 RepliesThe boss is the worst, because he dissapears and hides for about 15 seconds every time you chip his health down, and again he will dissapear for a whole minute at some point in the battle before coming back out to the fight. Honestly Ive soloed that guy before, but he is brutal as hell in nightfall.

Lf nightfall I'm a 288 my bro 276 need help

Not year 3 nightfall but year 1 nightfall was the most challenging and best and thats exactly what this game needs now that we dont have synths and icebreaker to sit at the back and snipe. But the one thing im worried about is that if nightfal became challenging then the rewards would not be worth the time as the only thing worth getting in nightfall is the milestone and that rewards loses its punch once you get to 305... so idk maybe add an XP booster after beating it like in the original instead of a cosmetic blue digital halo that does nothing.

1 ReplyI did the non-nightfall version of this week's strike and my god it's horrid as it is, i can't imagine how shitty it is with timers. Bungie's got a giant boner for timers in this game on everything and it's as obnoxious as when Firaxis put a timer in Xcom 2: guess what when people have 3 dozen mods to remove a key feature like a timer maybe it's a bad idea and other companies should notice.

Edited by IrishTheSavage: 9/23/2017 1:28:30 AMLol like i miss cheesing all the nightfalls.. hide here and ice breaker til death to us part or beating them solo.. no timer = so easy haha or how about teamate dies... leave to orbit and come back in because if i try to res you i migth die haha idk what i like better but this weeks nightfall wasnt fun , only because we have to strategize lol cant just do what i want... but do i complain no, if you wanna kill all enemies and enjoy scenery then do explore

Agreed..I say fire the joker that made the timer decision, and take that crap off.

1 ReplyThe time limit thing is just more lazy garbage... I have enjoyed D2 so far, but I doubt I will be wasting my time on the raid or nightfall any time soon.. If you really want to make "challenging" endgame activities then change things up from the normal flow of things and shake up game play a bit. Timers are stressful, not fun. Bullet-Sponges are annoying, not fun. Environmental hazards that force you to stay aware of your surroundings, could be fun. Friendly Fire, is fun! Non-regenerating Health which forces you to move slow and be careful, could be fun! Multiple Boss encounters!! But slapping a timer on the mission and making everything more difficult to kill then what is reasonable is just dumb..

2 RepliesI do miss those Destiny 1 nightfalls. Those were fun, these new ones are like Sonic but a shooter.
-
2 RepliesOnly sweaty neckbeards like the timer. They get off on feeling elite. The majority of players hate it.
-
5 RepliesThe nightfall isn't made to be relaxing, it is supposed to be a challenge.
-
You have to take your time and look for the time buffs , we had nine minutes to beet the boss ... a little challenging still wasn't as frustrating as vanilla destiny being sent to orbit when u all die. There are 4 time buffs before u drop in on the boss
-
Your not suppose to race through it.
-
Play strikes if you want to sit back
-
D1 nightfalls were not hard either, its about time they made the games PvE somewhat hard.
-
Nightfalls were too easy even though they should be challenging. Adding a timer was a great idea in order to accomplish that.
-
2 RepliesThe destiny 1 nightfalls were pretty bad if you think about it. I know I triggered 90% of you guys but think for a second. In year 1 nightfalls there were no timers but if your whole fireteam died you'd be kicked to orbit. This led to teams sitting in the back spamming ice breaker evertime the shot was off cooldown. If you call this fun than you really don't take much to please.

11 RepliesEdited by zmach1: 9/22/2017 12:31:57 PMWouldn't be a bad idea to have a better reward for finishing within the time limit (personally I hate timers in a game), but still allow others to complete it. Even if the rewards a bit less Or....everyone can finish it with the same loot rewards, but finishers before the time runs out also get a special chest to drop with a higher chance for top tier rewards.

1 ReplyAm I the only who never failed the nightfall once since launch? It's not hard at all imo
-
Hate the NF timer!

Edited by ramthesocket: 9/22/2017 6:18:07 PMI always think, are the complainers the ones who struggle on prestige? I actually find them more of a challenge than destiny 1, as a veteran. People complain about them adding a timer because it's such a simple mechanic, but the reality is that you're meant to feel rushed, it's like a speed run - gotta go fast. Take your time on a nightfall? Please. They're literally a ramped up strike so why would you take your time? Nightfall in destiny 1 was awful, oh boy enemies 1 level higher and 20 light higher. Jeez I'm struggling soooo much...
-
Lol fun, nightfalls in d1 were always about getting them finished fast for the extra xp. Now they just tweak it to promote that and everyone cries. Its not challenging unless its a prestige, but my problem is I ran it twice and both times we couldn't progress because the wells of light didn't spawn. That makes the nightfall something to complain about, not your problem. Although yes this boss is a bit of a runner, that does make for a ugly nightfall but like always get good and have reliable friends.

3 RepliesI beat it solo with my feet!!!! But seriously, there are always going to be people who say it's fine but the overall opinion appears to be in favor of it being too difficult this week. I tried it once with a couple of casual friends and it was a miserable cluster blam! I'm not really a fan of having to memorize a nightfall strike each week.
