I just created an account for this
Thank you Bungie, since 2015 I have trouble playing new games since the requirements are to big for me since I only own old laptop with 710M/1GB Edition and 4GB of Ram.
I lost all hope to join D2 launch and game until... I downloaded the open beta.
30fps@720p@Low
Sure is the lowest preset available and it goes to 15fps outside but oh man it is something! You don't know how happy this makes even if I gonna struggle in some areas.
You did a great job overall and do give kuddos to the company that did the port and optimisation.
I will for sure pre-order the game once I get to experience and play with the resolution.
thank you bungie!

1 ReplyIt's good to hear that it's playable on lower end devices but I would still play in console if possible. The main reason I prefer consoles is because I don't have to worry about buying a game and then not being able to run it smoothly. When I buy a game on console I know it will run fine and if it doesn't that's on the game's end, not my console's end. On PC I constantly have to worry about whether or not I have good enough parts and if I don't I have to cough up an few hundred bucks. In my opinion the only advantage PC has over consoles is frame rate and I don't care about frame rate as long as the game is playable.

Edited by Rayland_Givens_: 8/31/2017 3:38:26 PMFrom a console user thank-you Bungie. I won't have to complain about the endless Mods and cheaters soon to be destroying D2 on PC
-
Well it is running on an engine from like 2010

34 RepliesFrom a high end pc user: wtf bungie A new system with some of the highest end parts of this and last year is only getting 60fps at minimum settings with several drops far below no matter what resolution I know this is not what this post is about but attention needs to be drawn to it because I can't be the only one with this problem
-
Buy an Xbox or PlayStation.
-
and thats how crucible is gonna be: lowest requirements (low up/down, high latency) for highest fun like in D1...
-
why dont u just invest in a better pc? for 2 years you havent been able to save up ~500???? that actually makes no sense tbh i feel sorry for you.

6 RepliesI have been having some real trouble with destiny 2 fps. Currently, I usually play over watch with an average of 70 fps with lowest setting possible. On the other hand, I booted up for Destiny 2, but the fps was 20. I turned all the settings to the lowest possible and still complete trash FPS. Is this my computer problem or a setting problem? Just to let you guys know, I have a HD Intel Graphics 520 and 12 GB's of ram. Any suggestions? Everything is on low for settings it's very frustrating

I have a Talon, expensive, but worth it.

Same here, i have a decent pc but not that good and the game runs really well for me. Makes me happy that the game has been optimised this well.
-
4 RepliesI can't stand playing pc games on anything but ultra. That is why I play games on consoles now.
-
Was hoping for a “runs like ....on my ..... thread” This is pretty close On an acer i5 6500u with 940m ans 8 gig ram its playable at 720p on default settings. Not great. Playable On hp i7 7something hq ( so 4 cores 8 threads) and gtx1050 with 16 gig @1080 on default its perfect. Will try a few more options tonight time allowing

Glad you get to play. Graphics don't make a great game, gameplay does.

1 ReplySame here. I'm a Destiny Veteran and as it moved to the new Consoles I couldn't play it anymore. WHen I saw the Beta I thought to myself, eh fk it, ill try it. And it works. On lowest settings I got it to work almost always at 60fps inside and 30 outside.. I finaly can feel the same tingleling that I got from D1. I'm so happy and even going to go so far to pre-purchase it now.

2 RepliesEdited by gar: 8/30/2017 11:48:53 AMif blizzard wasn't in charge of the pc version we'd probably have a copy-paste of console without any optimization
-
1 ReplyHow did you even get it to run? The game won't launch for me on my laptop with a 750m in it.

I can't tell if you're actually grateful or this is a brutal roast

Mine was choppy and I kept getting booted, told to change my resolution and I did and it kept dropping frames.
