I know I'm not worthy.
Year two player. Don't have all exotics. Haven't leveled every class. Haven't beaten all but two raids, one I was severely over leveled for. My KD is negative and it ain't going up any time soon. I've only played trials once and we didn't make it past three wins.
But despite all this I'm still gonna play this game and I'm going to enjoy it, and I'm still going to call myself a fan of this game, I'm still going to call myself a guardian, despite the fact I've barely done any of the things in this game that would typically be required for respect on these forums. I might not be a good enough player to complete most activities on my own, but I'm still going to call myself a player of this game. No one should be called out against just because they don't like pvp, or aren't very good at raiding, or refuse to play trials. In the end we're all just people playing the same game, just in different ways.
Edit: title doesn't fit what I was getting at, tbh I started typing this with a good idea, but then forgot what the point was supposed to be. Upon reading it again it sounds really weird, and I can see where the confusion about this is coming from. I expected this to get buried, but I guess that the opposite happened somehow.

Hey if ur having fun ur doing it right. I have fun by being a completionist others have fun in PvP or trials some in patrol or strikes, just do what is fun to u and ur playing the game properly

All of that means about as much as a Cosmo promise/feedback post. (Jack squat) As long as you are having a fun, as long as you enjoy/enjoyes your time in Destiny then THAT is what matters. You find fun where there is fun to be had. The Elite can burn in the 9th circle of hell if they ever try to take that from you. You're always worthy in my eyes. If that means anything.

I never liked trials so I didn't bother playing it. I finished all the year books except the moments of triumph because it was just things I had already done and I would rather keep the good memories rather than the bad. Never got a character to 400 because why would I if the games obsolete in a few weeks. I still consider myself a destiny fan, if not an OG fan despite being a Christmas noob (remember that term) even though I got the game 4 days before.

1 ReplyI'm no mathematician but observationally, there's a correlation between time spent on these forums and thinking that playing destiny is a job. Seriously, reading these forums over the last 3 years people think that having a good kd or high grimoire or a thousand raid completions somehow validates them as a person. So don't worry about your kd, grimoire or raiding. Though I would recommend raiding as it's a blast, but you know what I mean. As long as you're having fun, you are playing the game as intended.

The whole point of video games is to have fun. If you're enjoying your time playing, that's all that matters. Don't let KD trolls and such drag you down....It's a game, not a life style.
