During the beta, hunters seemed very underpowered. Think they will get a buff at launch? What do they need to improve the class?

Wait til we get to use the other branch in the gunslinger subclass. Its the one that allows golden gun to do precision damage.
-
Both branches during the beta were about getting as many kills as possible. We missed out on way of the wind (mobility based) and the other gunslinger branch (damage based)

I think Hunter just need a little timed speed boost after a dodge is performed. I think this will be enough to make Hunters feel like the fast class without breaking the game.

5 RepliesI just want one ability that can be useful for a raid team why bungie always has to have one class that doesn't help in raids I'll never know.
-
Probably for pvp balance. Happens in a lot of games. DPS types will get nerfed because that type typically just work the best in pvp modes centered around kills. As for destiny all classes are under powered within the role type they fit. But you can expect a pve buff to hunters from what I hear.

4 RepliesHunters are not very helpful, when raid comes out what will hunters benefit the raid team? Titans have bubble & warlocks have a healing & empowerment rift...
-
I had no issue with arcstrider, in fact i really liked it. The shadeload class ability however is a laughable corny joke of a troll by bungie. Theres no fxxkin way they play tested the 3 classes and said "yep, this is on par with the lock and titan class abilities". Bunch of jokes.

Hunters are knives bud, not great flashing hammers or sweeping swords like the other classes. We're gonna have to learn how to insert ourselves into gunfights properly and avoid pretending that we're invincible.

2 RepliesFrom the beta... I don't know man they seemed mostly okay. That doesn't mean they couldn't use a little bit of love. Like acrstaff slinging faster would be nice and mabey shadestep having a 11-12 sec cool down would be nice but not really nesecary. Mostly they should just be orb generating gods. I'm talking light of the pack for all supers at base. How's that for team play. Plus I don't think that would mess with the hole lone wolf vibe they got.

A rock fell on my hunters foot and I died. I didn't even think that was possible.

Blame pvp

Keep in mind that there were alternate skills that were unavailable during the beta. While the unlocked ability tree may in fact be under-powered under comparison, it may also have simply not been to your preference. It is not wise to make assumptions that the entire class is under-powered when half the abilities are unavailable. The available skill tree might be the only thing that needs adjusting, not the entire class.

1 ReplyEdited by Dark Raven 2501: 8/5/2017 10:50:25 AMDidn't you read the instructions where it said batteries not included?. & some people wonder why they don't have enough power for their hunter
-
3 RepliesBecause they've had it all for the last 3 years. Time for them to get the sticky end of the stick.
-
Because the devs play Titan and warlocks duhhh.
-
Remember that is there is alternative skill trees maybe the one you played in the beta just didn't suit your play style
-
4 RepliesNerf the other two classes so hunters look better.
-
You're just not very good with the class, kiddo.
-
They are fine, dear. You are the issue, not the class.
-
15 RepliesIt's the skill class.

Git gud

Hunter felt great so I am not understanding what you are talking about. Dodging, jumping, and sprinting around while punching, stabbing, and shooting everything that stood before me! It felt great. I even have a representation of my smile while playing!
-
I think it was mostly they armour we got. Warlock and titan had easily more armour stat.
-
1 ReplyThe shadestep reloads your gun didnt see if it reloaded all weapons or just the currently equipped. But its still decent but seemed like locks srole twilight garrison which is odd.

4 RepliesThey arent underpowered, ive played a hunter since the beta of D1.. They are just not getting as many new things as the other classes. Do not confuse 'power' for 'new' things. That being said, there is a legitimate issue with hunters having a very low resilience to recovery values. Hunters have nearly max agility stats on their armour BUT agility does less in D2 than it did in D1. Your agility in D2 doesn't affect your sprint speed or jump height anymore, It only affects your walking speed in D2 which is practically useful for ONLY strafing in gun fights.. So essentially the agility stat is useless. Let me paint a picture for you the reader Hunter Resilience : --- Recovery : Agility :--------- Warlock Resilience :----- Recovery :--------- Agility :- Titan Resilience :--------- Recovery :---- Agility :- So when you take away the Agility stat because its practically pointless you end up with a situation where hunters have VERY low health and EXTREMELY SLOW HEALTH REGEN. This is the real issue with D2 hunters and all the streamers are talking about fixing agility but bungie hasnt taken notice yet..

3 RepliesBecause they Dominated cruciable for 2 years.
