I AM PISSED! they have not learnt a thing from Destiny1 in terms of PvP affecting PvE, shot guns and snipers should NOT be power ammo.. IMO i blame Trials for this, Trials helped the game stay alive for abit there and is one of the most watched game modes on twitch, now this is the direction Bungie is taking..

Here's my biggest problem with the cry for balance. You can't balance people's skill level no matter what adjustments you make. Give everyone the same exact load out and the better players rise to the top.

8 RepliesAm I the only one who doesn't think D2 PvE is bad? The story mission was absolutely great, the strike was fun, fairly basic, but fun. Honestly not too sure what people are complaining about, could the strike have been better? Yeah of course, but it's not a bad strike, and D2 is certainly not a bad game.

Bungie's (understandable but still stubborn) explanation to their desicion making when and how changes are going to be - is to do things their way. They mean that we - as the community - do not always know what's for the best, no matter how painfully it may seem our idea for solution that over 95% agree on, could actually work. When I think about it, have they always been this stubborn???

My biggest issue is that you can't custom tune your subs anymore. It's as simple as setting any OP combo perks in the same choice slot. I tend to run unconventional builds on most games so kinda ruins the idea of fine tuning a sub to my play style. I get the balance issues and trying to be noob friendly. But that could be fixed by setting some perks as an either or, and including recommended builds. Could even copy cod with custom class presets etc.

1 ReplyNot sure if anyone has posted this here yet. But it seems Bungie implemented some of the changes you are asking for even before the beta was released: http://kotaku.com/bungie-promises-destiny-2-pve-improvements-to-grumbling-1797128738?IR=T

7 RepliesYou guys do realize that the Beta build is quite old, right? They know about the weakness of PvE and are trying to fix it.

Personally I'm having a blast with the new weapon set up in PvE, my pulse rifle and smg feels and plays really similar to my old pulse and shotty combo. I just have to decide on what type of power weapon I prefer. Grenade launcher for groups Sniper/linear fusion rifle (basically a sleeper simulant) for single targets Regular fusion rifle for versatility. Decisions decisions...

1 ReplyWell look at it like this you are still a low character and need to build up amor and everything so your super charges faster. Then you don't know if they are showing what the want for the subclass tree. The way I feel is that the supper is the same no matter what but now with the evolved version you will get more kills in both PvP and PvE except the golden gun it's the same as D1.

Kotakus D2 Beta review raises the same concern. "PVP has been improved to the detriment of PVE"

3 RepliesEdited by Project88mph: 7/21/2017 6:46:51 PMOnly thing is supers need to be faster to charge. Everything else imo is perfect. Grenades are saved for a tactical use rather than spamming. The extra ability is great although hunters got the short straw if you ask me. Melee is a melee. Time to kill 1v1 is fair. Team shots make it a team game. I'm really happy. But yes more super energy and more power ammo in pve. Sorry I meant to say I found pve good too just the supers again are slow and need more power ammo. I would not complain if abilities were a bit faster in pve but it doesn't bother me. Plus everyone keeps forgetting that we are over leveled in d1 so our weapons feel powerful. The enemies in the strike were 210 and we are 200 so.....

Absolutely.

9 RepliesThis is just another bitchy post. Not one solution, just "waaaaaaaaaaah bungie sucks destiny blows waaaaah i don't like it because i can't farm supers."
-
Ruined? Why have they put it so everything satisfying in d1 is gone from d2. Like throwing most grenades in a 1v1 is urewarded even for a direct hit as most hunter nades barely bring down shields. Shoulder charge isn't a 1 hit and it's a 3 hit melee. Secondary's are primary's and heavy is secondary's and heavys, the variation in pvp is so boring and nonexistent. I would rather get obliterated into nothing by a shotie, fusion or sniper than fight another gunfight with the same shit or destroyed by a well thrown grenade or tomahawk. It feels like cod with all this focus on primary's and none on the stuff that felt great in d1. What do u think?

This is the most boring thing i've ever seen come from Bungie. Honeslty i'm on the fence about cancelling. After 3 years of D1 you can't tell me the beta is just a testing grounds. If this is what I'll be playing over the next year. I'm out. Because I won't play this for a year. I will just subscribe to PS now, and play whatever I want that doesn't feel restricting. This feels restricting. TBH I just finished Little nightmares. They slowed this characters movement sooo much. Flipped the control maps around. So it feels like it's bigger. It's an extremely small game, and it's so hard to move around in. It's still good little game, but it really feels constrained. Similar to D2.

7 RepliesIncorrect. Because you fail to consider: 1. Your character subclasses have unlockable Cooldown perks. 2. Your armor has No Cooldown perks. 3. You have not played with all of the subclass trees. End

2 RepliesThere's alot of complaining about the beta in this section, though its to be expected, but looking at things as mostly a whole everything feels alot more balanced. Autos feel fun to use, scouts are optimized for mid to long, Hc are great at close, but maybe should have a slightly slower rof in pvp, and pulse I don't use but they feel ok? Now with heavy in pvp with only one person being able to get it it keeps the entire team from just rolling over the other yay. But this makes it easier to camp on one spot and be near immovable boo. There are multiple types to use on vp yay. But are mainly situational and barley none drops boo. Supers feel roughly nice. Dawn/nova is slow from far away and best used from up high. Havoc/sentinel are what was the blade dancer mobility and chace down people. GG is comparibly slow to pull on super v super but effective enough if having to clear a room with enough shots to make up for error. Strider I don't really like and I main this class. The melle ability lacks the satisfsction of a good punch and often doesnt do enough when I need it. The super encourages the dodge ability, but feels weirdly slow. attempting to use it to dodge in the air results in an oddly annoying up draft causing me to get stuck on walls while the camera miss behaves. The R2 ability goes nowhere and is almost not worth using on the ground and leaves me blindly slaming the ground with a very small aoe from the air. Compared to blade its slower but some what more versitale. To finish off quickly in pve supers feel slightly underpowered, but may be due to our light levels at the time but they could all use a slight increase.

Before the beta I joked to my friend about how destiny 2 constantly had the trickle modifier (because we lose our light to ghaul) but then this ended up actually being the case across the whole game.
-
2 RepliesSentinal titan is by far and away the best class in the game, it's almost game breaking
-
1 ReplyGood. Keep sacrificing PVE. Nobody likes it anyway

2 RepliesIs it just me or does the grenade launcher shoot potatoes?
