A Heartfelt Thanks to All The Shotgun Rushers Out There
I want to offer a heartfelt thanks to all the shotgun rushers.
After a rather long hiatus I have returned to Destiny and have found myself being unusually successfully in the crucible.
Could it be I have gotten better through some unknown osmosis?
Eh, I wish but highly unlikely.
After having a relatively successful round of rumble it occurred to me.

It all makes sense...
In some players eternal search for the weapon with the lowest learning curve they have migrated back to shotguns...

No longer must I fear going to an ammo box placed in the open or walking down a long hall way. All the scrub snipers have now turned into scrub shotgunner and that's ALOT easier to deal with.
So [b]THANK YOU[/b] shotgun rushers...
As I bear-bait you out of your little hidey hole with a well placed grenade and you mindlessly run at me like a 28 Days Later zombie only to be put down half way there, firing off a desperate out of range shot...

You have given me a nice underserved boost to my KD and self esteem
You are the true heroes of Destiny.

1 ReplyThe fantasy world where a body shot from a shot gun takes more skill than lining up sniper head shots! Lmao! Shotgunners only dislike snipers because you can't just run around like an idiot trying to "close the gap, land a body shot!". These posts will never end, and will always be genuinely hilarious. For that, we thank you.

3 RepliesSkill doesn't matter if you lose. Thus, I use what I feel will give me the best benefit. If it's a shotgun to counter people rushing, it's a shotgun to counter them rushing. Oh well. If I have no skill, I have no skill. I don't give two shits. In fact, I don't give one shit. I have never claimed to have skill. Kd... who gives a flying -blam!-. I will rush right out in front of people to draw you out for my teammates. What I do requires absolutely no skill... so you say, but my team may still win. How does your "skill" feel when you lose. Good luck with that. At-least you can claim to be good at something in life. Yep, you have skill and a great kd, but your team lost. Hoo-blam!-ingray for you!

Don't nerf shotguns, just give people more choices that make them think about their Loadouts. Or here is a novel thought. Make me want to choose a primary over a special. Stop nerfing and buff guns so we have more legit options that compete.

3 Repliesit's wonderful, they made it so you can't use your sniper as a sniper. now they use the hardest thing in the game, a weapon that you literally can't miss with, it's so tough to use

3 Repliesi like your post so much! its funny how people just assume that its impossible to kill a shotgun rusher, and they need to NERF SHOTTIES! In reality you have so so so many things to counter them. You can back peddle with a primary. You have nades. You have smoke. You can use sidearms to waste them before they get in intended range. The list goes on. People that think shotty rushers are unable to be countered clearly didnt play during the shot package days

6 RepliesAny shotgun rusher is absolutely useless at anything other than that. It is simple combat them with low TTK weapons, and sniping is fun again now.
