Thorn needs Dot buff to 4
title says enough, this weapon deserves to be good not weak or overpowered.

Actually the dot gives it the damage of the eyasluna archetype with out a fire rate reduction, I think it just needs its range back

The dot needs to stay where it is the weapon ONLY needs a range buff, it's lacking in damage right now because of its God earful range currently, dot was really just meant to stop an enemy from healing quickly and it does exactly that

Honestly 3 or 4 would be enough as there have been PLENTY OF times I would have gotten a kill if the dot was 3 instead of 2. Anything over 4 is op

If you only knew how they hate DOT now. It is so a thing of the past. I would settle for them to give it back that range they stole from it for no reason just before year 3 release so it would you know be somewhat exotic

Thorn didn't need the last nerf, it was completely uncalled for and unnecessary.

9 RepliesNo. Poison does 2 damage 4x per shot, for a total 8 additional damage per shot, putting its damage significantly higher than every other gun in its archetype. Poison also tracks and cancels shield regen, giving you a massive advantage in any 1v1 gunfight if you're smart and poke in and out of cover, giving yourself the chance to regen health while your opponent slowly loses health and is a sitting duck. Plus final round is an excellent perk as well. It's already head and shoulders above the rest of the guns in its archetype, and DoT is meant to cancel your shield regen and track, not be a main damage-dealer. Thorn is in a fine place, do we really want HoW all over again? Especially with so many primaries nerfed, Thorn would be king again.

I think Bungie should make thorn do three burn damage normally but with the artifact that reduces Dot should only do one damage

Nothing needs to be done to the DoT. Just reverse the range nerf Thorn got going into ROI and it will be fine.

Make the DoT last longer! A longer DoT increases the utility of poison.
