Despite its flaws, destiny is a legendary game.
Sure, pvp will probably never be balanced and pve is a repetitive grindfest... But somehow destiny has managed to keep us entertained going into its 3rd year. We can all admit that the gunplay is likely the best we've ever seen in a fps and the raids are true gems. I hope destiny 2 just improves on this already great game with more pve content and more distinct weapons and classes. Yes we cry and complain in the few areas that come up short, but think about the standard we hold this game to compared to others. Just look at your play times. So I'll be the first to say thank you bungie.. Even though I cried about you breaking Titans in pvp and you not having dedicated servers, just know you are appreciated.

If they brought it to PC I could easily put in at least 5k more. Just for a sense of scale, my second most played game has 150 hours less than half the playtime i have in destiny.

3 RepliesThere is just something about Destiny. I didn't like it at first and decided to give it a second chance when TTK came out. It's been one of my main games since then. Other games have come and gone since then, but I keep coming back to Destiny. Plus can we talk about how great the game looks? As an artist there are so many things that catch my eye. Turning off my HUD and walking around the area outside of the Iron Temple was amazing. Everything from the lighting to just the pure artistry is amazing. It may not be the game I put the most time into anymore, but I play it at least 2-4 times a week for a few hours at a clip. It's a very good game and it's fun to play with friends. That's what keeps me coming back time and again. Good job Bungie, you've created a masterpiece.

Destiny has never done a single thing very well. Everything has been just meh. No content released has really stood out in any way.

8 RepliesDestiny 2 has to be a masterpiece. Halo 2 was the best in that series. They know where they messed up. Of the 3 main things they need to do, 2 are pretty much confirmed and I'd be surprised if they didn't do the 3rd. 1) Kotaku is reporting that the Saturn (probably Europa) play space is bigger than all current maps combined and more open world, integrating the social space into patrol through towns and outposts, dope. 2) They have said multiple times that they are aware they need to delve into the story more, I and we saw improvement with TTK, so I'm pretty confident that will be better. And lastly 3) I'd be super surprised of they don't intoduce dedicated servers for pvp. Destiny is going MLG and it will crash and burn without dedicated servers. If there is one thing good you can say about Activision is that they know how to host an MLG title. So, I expect that will be on point. If they do these 3 things D2 will be the bomb!

3 RepliesAs much as I love to hate Destiny. I gotta agree. The PvP is awful and the PvE is grindy. But I always come back. The gunplay is just so good. The only game that I think has gunplay almost as good as Destiny is Overwatch. But we can't forget Overwatch has 22 guns for 22 heroes, as opposed to Destiny's thousands.

It is! But, sometimes destiny makes me feel like she should be my ex girlfriend. That girl that you know isn't the right girl for you, but you keep coming back for more cuz that's all you know. Haha

In the last 5 years no game has had this longevity and impact on a console. It's pretty much the only console game that can enter the top 10 streamed/viewed on twitch and on it's best days dethrones PC games from the No. 1 spot. Destiny pisses me off a lot, and I call it trash whenever I'm salty, but no console game in recent memory can really compete with its presence. A lot of it has to do with the community more than the game itself though. Community members like Gothalion, ProfessorBroman have fostered the kind of cult community that has kept it a present game even when it's dry in content.

I love playing Destiny. I hate sbmm and I am currently NOT enjoying pvp. Trials is ok. Raids are awesome fun. It's one big violent male fashion show! Fabulous! Lol
