SHOTGUNS HAVE MORE EFFECTIVE RANGE THAN FUSION RIFLES
when you ad in movement abilities shotguns have quite a lot more effective range than fusion rifles,
that coupled with their insta kill potential for "oh shit" moments makes them many many times more powerful options than fusions.
now let's take into account the fusion rifle "ghost bullets" where you see the darn pellets go right into your target for zero damage....
fusions need a massive buff to be even marginally competitive with shotguns....
EDIT:
since nobody can read... I called out movement skill and shotguns together for a reason. a simple blink can make an easy win for a shotgun vs a fusion rifle even if they start at range.
anybody who disagrees is welcome to add me into a 1v1, so I can prove how easy it is to dodge fusions while shotgunning (and I almost never run blink)

Fusions have a farther OHK range then a top tier shotgun. So no. Effective range is not better. Shotguns are easier to use and better for really mobile people. but that doesn't make them objectively better.

2 RepliesALL weapons need a massive buff!!!! Every weapons should be at full stats in PVP! Lets get the vag salt dripping to its fullest potential. But fusion rifles in the right hands are good as they are now.

Not quite, I shot a wall with a Fusion rifle and all 7 bullets hit the wall. I shot the wall with a shotgun and not one bullets even caressed the wall

I agree that ghost shots are still real af -blam!- now and then with fusions, but still find them more satisfying to get a kill with, and like Judge Rhymehold said, I can damn near cross map you with my fusion, even mid-blink. Another weird thing they do, is when running and when you try and stop to aim and shoot quickly, they can wig out and not fire at all and you feel as if you're being pushed back into your run. It's weird and only happens rarely, but a problem is a problem, so I see your point with the movement/mobility edge to shotguns, by they definitely are more fun I my book.
