Raid Weapons...please don't suck

Like many of you I'm counting down the days till I have a new raid. With that being said I'm crossing my fingers for epic guns I can be proud of because honestly armor looks nice and all but it doesn't enhance gameplay like an elemental hand cannon with outlaw and firefly. Bungie please you have time for a hot fix to bump stats up if these guns we are about to grind our hearts out for land closer to TTK quality and less like VoG and CE. As a dedicated raider I can say the hard cores deserve better weapons than Oryx was willing to hand us. Outside the heavy machine gun and the novelty of firefly on a pulse they weapons were not great. I think a large percent of the community would agree that the vendor Hung Jury smoked any primary Kings Fall had to offer. Stop acting as if great rolls will break the game. Armsday packages and vendor gear should not be better than raid weapons!

      • Most of them suck. You can look at them in the Armoury. Auto Rifle is of the High Impact Archetype and focuses on Focused Fire, which means it's going to be pretty garbage. Hand Cannon lacks Rifled Barrel or any significant Range Perk, which means it's outshined by Eyasluna and Ill Wil.l

        • Didn't you like Zauoli's Bane? You reload at the beginning of the raid, and by the time you get to the boss, the animation is halfway over.

            Give the PVP kids chance to get them nerfed since they won't have them as they don't set foot in PVE. They have actual complaint templates now. Just have to switch gun names and spam them.

          • Agreed. The oryx raid weapons were a disappointment. The heavy machine gun is the only one I messed with. Auto reload on storing the weapon for a bit is almost redundant on any primary, to say the least. And that they slapped that perk on every single gun... To me that's not even bad decision making, just laziness. It may not have bothered me as much if the vault of glass weapons weren't SO awesome. I didn't particularly enjoy the Crota weapons, but they were at least situational and could be used in some scenarios. On a side note, I loved the oryx raid armor. I thought they were really creative with those perks. I am on board with your post though - it's very discouraging at this point in the game when you spend all that time running the raid, and don't even use the drops because vendor gear is better. ESPECIALLY the guns !!

            • I don't like the double rng on weapons and light levels. Also I'm waiting to see if primaries have elemental burns, thats will decide is i buy roi in general.

                To be fair, I'm a bit disappointed that the raid weapons are just black and slightly SIVA foundry weapons. The perks on them are cool, but they should've been more unique models Still -blam!-ing stoked.

                • Raid weapons should NEVER be foundry weapons. Period. They should look unique and have unique perks that lend them to being valuable loot for the PVE side of the game. Removing elemental primaries was just idiotic in my opinion. If Bungie was so concerned about it, then why put them in the game in the first place?? I can't for the life of me understand Bungie's continued mistreatment of PVE. By their own accounts PVE makes up 80% of play time logged in the game.

                • Good news! The raid weapons have a raid specific perk built in, separate from the other perks. Also, the weapons look build specifically for an individual purpose. The auto may be really good for PVE, the scout might be a PVP monster ect. Whereas the Kings fall weapons were kinda just meh for everything. Look at planetdestiny.com and they have an article about all the weapons

                • Great rolls did break the game. That's why they where removed. A core part of the game is being able to use what ever you want. If I gun or a roll becomes a correct answer then the game has broken and it needs to be fixed

                  • PVP player: why should I have to raid to get elemental weapons. PVE player: it's because they are in the raid. PVP player: but I'm a PVP player I should not have to raid to get elements PVE player: well then your fine they only effect PVE PVP player: but it is not fair, when I dabble in PVE all these guys running around using Fate bringer and all these other elements. PVE player: well they invested time in the raid to aquire these PVE weapons. PVE player: the the center endgame is PVP why do I have to PVE for endgame rewards. PVE player hands PVP player shiny tin foil hat. HOW drops PVE player: look lighthouse grants elemental weapons for you PVP types. PVP player: not the same, does not have set awesome perks PVE player: they gave you what you wanted Luke smith sees that PVP players are still not happy with their handouts. BUNGO: We removed elemental primaries because as they were being used as intended we did not forsee the immense winning coming from our blesses children the PVP minority. As we are PVP based we need to keep them happy. So in effect we will no longer have elemental primaries in the game that we have promoted and boasted as a PVE experience.

                    • Raid weapons are the perfect example of what's wrong with Bungie. How can you not have unique skins on every weapon that comes from the raid, a thing this game haven't gotten in almost a year? Those retards...

It's a proven fact that the Bungie Devs lost their base creativity after designing the Y1 Legendary and Raid weapons. I mean, for proof, look at the steaming piles of shit that are the Y2 weapons. Y3 won't be any better, OP.

                        • Check the armory they are up, just look for the black and red weapons with their name in full caps. Each one seems to be based on augmenting current perks; like triple tap giving two bullets, army of one doubling grenade/melee damage, etc... From the looks of them based on stats/perks alone the AR and shotty seem to be the best; the AR is essentially Suros Regime except instead of Glass Half Full it gets Firefly, and the shotty is a Felwinter archetype that increases sprint speed and armor after a kill.

                        • I liked the KF weapons, I never had to reload lol. Granted, that was pretty much the only good thing about them.
