Why Do Fusion Rifles Piss People Off?
I have been changing up builds and trying new weapons out lately. I have never once gotten hate mail in the Crucible until this last week when I was trying out my Hitchhiker FR4. I have had probably 5 or 6 messages over about 5 days along the lines of "gratz on being able to use a fusion scrub" lol it's pretty funny really. Do you pro fusioners endure this too? haha :'D

I've learned the people who kill me with a fusion would probably kill me with most any option. The timing and pre aim required to wreck with a fusion shows high skill.

1 ReplyAll specials bar side arms can ohk, fusions are no different just more range then shotys but have less fire rate, I think all specials are pretty well balanced right now in the game

That's good with the Hitchhiker, that charge rate is tough. You have to plan ahead!

If you get one hit, suck it up and enjoy my skill lol. My last Rumble Match I got the game-winning kill which was a double Fusion rifle kill with my Vacancy. One of the most satisfying moments I've had in this whole game :)

1 ReplyStarted using fusions about a month ago, already got rank 3 with them. Never get hate mail unfortunately. I pull off some crispy shots with the Thesan. Love that gun, got a nice roll too. Does any other fusion users also snap to ADS at the last second of charge? I feel it's more accurate that way?

3 RepliesMy response to anyone who gives me salt. 'Sorry I can't hear you over the sound of my Thwoomp.' Best sound in the game, very satisfying watching people disintegrate to nothing. Particularly when its a shotgun warrior trying to charge me from 100 ft away.

If I get hatemail I typically just shrug it off. It's a game, and I use whatever I feel like using. If I wanna run NLB and hide for a match, I do so.. because I know that at the end of the day, it's just a game and I'm fun playing that game.. I sometimes forget that and so do Alot players on here

It is a very helpless feeling. When you get killed at range so quickly it can be surprising and infuriating. At least that's what I've heard 😉

People just get mad that Fusion rifles take skill and they can't admit they got outplayed.

1 ReplyI feel like the reason people are so mad at fusion rifle users is because they expect them to be bad. Here how fusion rifle works. Range equals the travel time of the projectiles. Stability determines how clustered the projectiles are. Not all the projectiles come out at the same time. So you need to put that factor in when firing your fusion rifle. This can be complicated so that is why charge time is a thing. So while you think about where your projectiles should go, your weapon is charging up.

They sometimes piss me off cause they remind me of those days before The Dark Below...... Even though I used them back then, it was some scary times man.
