New RoI info! Small things you might have missed! (Updated)
So yesterday Game Informer posted a video/podcast of some community questions being answered by Chris Barett (game director) & Scott Taylor (executive producer). It was a great video with a lot of info! I'll post a link below along with some of the most important points.

·Taken spawns will not leave
·Xur will sell ornaments
·Dismantling Radiant Treasure items will give you an item called "silver dust" which allows you to purchase things from Eververse & Xur
·Thorn will not change coming into Y3
·When switching between the new artifacts; effects will be felt immediately
·When asked if Y2 engrams will decode into Y3 gear the guys smiled real big & said "no comment" ;)
·Daily bounties & grimoire can be collected in private matches but not quests or weekly
·New strike specific loot
·TTK strikes will be separate from RoI strikes
·New exotic quests including a new Thorn quest
·When ranking up with a faction you can choose your reward (armor, weapon, chroma)
·Lots of new Fallen lore
·Looking at adding Grimoire in-game
·Ghorn will not break the game again
·Looking at new vault/inventory space after release
·Y2 Trials gear will not be obtainable after release
·Expect some new content a week before release. No comment on what it is :)
·2am Pacific is the release time. Adjust time to your region
· They did say that Armsday weapons will have a new light level but it was unclear if new weapons will be added
·When asked if raid weapons would have static perks or random ones the guys chose not to comment
·Still lots of avenues for high light level gear such as Archons Forge, Strikes, Faction Packages, CoE, Bounties, etc. Rejoice for solo players like myself!
·Hidden exotic quests are still a thing! Keep your eyes open!

15 RepliesAs a day 1 player who had to grind through the Thorn quest with a gunslinger I am so excited to regrind for the Thorn yet again! Thanks Bungie! Wonder what we have to do to re-earn this time? 500 melee kills in ToO without dying? Solo the Vault of Glass naked? The possibilities are so exciting! 🙄

5 RepliesOh. And big info here. You will not be able to complete crucible questlines with private matches in as many words. Bounties both daily and weekly? Apparently so, but no quests. Which means as before, if you're part of a big clan that can rig things for you to easily complete a quest with /no work at all/ you're good, but if you're someone who prefers to play solo or in small teams, prepare to continue being /screwed/. You know, I've tolerated being forced to play the crucible to complete all the other quests, even the one for the first curse. But the chaperone quest is just flat out bull. You want people to kill a hundred guardians while carrying the last turd? Fine. But no more of this one bad game can reset a five games worth of careful play. And what's worse is that for all the work you put people through to get it it's a terrible gun that I think I've been killed in crucible by all of twice because nobody uses it. Bungie doesn't want there to be an easy way to get things done... Well, there's already easy ways, you just have to have enough people. So, now as always, bungie's message to small group players is "screw you".

They KNOW for a fact that people want MORE vault space. They just ration it out to keep people chasing the carrot. The april update -> "oh crap, everyone is leaving, quick throw the peasants a bone give them a little more vault space not too much though, gotta keep em on the hook"
