Anyone have a problem with Handcannon shots not registering?

Been having a bit of trouble every once in awhile with this. Wondering if I'm just off my game or if anyone else has this problem. I'll shoot and swear I see the bullet connect but they take no damage. *EDIT: For those saying I should just pace my shots - Trust me. I do. My problem isn't pacing. It's that my headshots don't register sometimes even when I do. Or sometimes you don't have the option of pacing because every other weapon type will kill you too fast. I'll get shot 4 to 5 times with MIDA at ANY range before I can fire off more than 1 or 2 shots.

  • Using First Curse, I do not suffer from the bloom game mechanic, I very rarely if ever see any of these so called phantom bullets. There was one incident that I was certain was 'undeniable proof', but that was proven to be just plain old lag, other than that I have had no other reason to doubt the rounds that I have fired. You know, sometimes you could just simply have missed. Just because there is an ingame mechanic that 'can' makes shots less accurate, it does not mean that you can absolve yourself of any error, and just blame that. Everyone misses shots, you, me, that guardian over there. Do not be so quick to blame something, when in nine cases out of ten, the fault is a lot closer to home. Practice, practice, and practice some more. Hand cannons are not pick up and play weapons.

      I don't notice ghost bullets, but I guess it doesn't help that the only hand cannons I use are The Last Word and Hawkmoon.

      • They need to fix them. Hey but at least they didn't fall from grace as did high impact AR. For more than a year now high impact AR are the worst primary in the game.

      • I find hand cannons with good range don't hit as many ghost bullits

          I have that issue using hawkmoon, which is an old issues. If I'm going hand Cannon in pvp I'll use my lhf or tlw.

        • Sometimes it might just be the connection to the game even if everyone is green bar, some games I have, I'll hit every single shot whereas others I'll hit the first two and whiff my next two. Who know? Maybe I'm just inconsistent lol.

        • Not had a problem but I pretty much just use my Eyasluna's with range perks as everyone else says. Occasionally I use Gaheris or Judith and notice it more even though these also have range perks. Eyasluna is consistent though and I haven't noticed it get any worse just recently.

          So true. I have been using Handcannons since the very beginning of Destiny and I just love them. They will always be my favorite weapons in Destiny, but no matter how much I am trying to pace my shots, trying to be as accurate as possible under incoming fire, the shots are hit and miss. I hope Bungie is able to fix this.

          • The first few shots should be ok, but the accuracy get worse, the more you fire- don't spam shots, because then your bullets could go anywhere!

                  Bungie said it is because the bloom effect you have to pace your shot with hand cannon, fire it slower and only use within effective range so you can alway be out gunned and out played by, Auto rifles, Pulse rifles, Scout rifles, Sniper rifles, Fusion rifles (even after a million nerfs), Sidearm and Shotgun. So hand cannon is working as intended!

                  • It is the netcode of the game which is trah after all theses buffs/nerfs all the time. But once the connection is good i wreck people with my hawkmoon. Last rumble mstch i got 20 kills with hawkmoon only and no super been used.
