So I was reading the new "This week in Bungie" or whatever...
And I couldn't help but watch the honorable mention video that was some montage of some dude
so I decided to look at his stats....
Click the link and see for yourself...
72.0, 75.0 and a 76.0 K/D in games of Salvage each sandwhiched inbetween 2 games that are 0.00 K/D
How is this even possible??? You can't even score that many kills in those game modes can you???
His stats look fishy.... that's all I'm saying something doesn't add up
EDIT #1 - I've seen some people say he is most likely stat boosting... IMO stat boosting/cheating is the same thing... I mean a person only cheats to boost.... It's not like a person cheats to try and get the lowest K/D
EDIT #2 - I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this. I just really think stuff like this needs to be brought up. I believe that this is extremely unfair to legit players like myself. I mean I play my ass off to try and do as good as I can. Stuff like this is a slap in the face in my opinion.
Bungie I really believe you should take action on this kid. You put up his montage video on your main page and stuff. This is a slap in the face to us legit players.

I havent watched the video but is his montage just him killing the same players/opponents. That to me would be borderline cheating in a way because it would be setup.
-
Bungie has never explained Boosting as Cheating. Unless I'm missing something..
-
4 RepliesI can't find the guy, can someone tell me the name of his montage please?
-
Edited by Benzene21: 7/15/2016 4:09:48 PMBungie should see this. They ban people who cheat but then they feature their videos on the website? Huh??
-
So basically you guys are saying he Xur'd his emblem?..
-
1 ReplyWhich one? There are a few montage honorable mentions.
-
FYI he is talking about the 2nd video.
-
1 ReplyI didn't think it was possible to get +70 kills in Salvage anyways. Bump for awareness.
-
1 ReplyWhich montage? Ammunition? Or the other one?
-
2 RepliesLol! They removed the link to their own page. Idiots. Anyone can see Bungie promotes cheating. I mean, they can't be THAT ignorant as to highlight someone's KDR without doing some preliminary research. ....or are they? Anyone want to post up another - KDR means everything - thread? Responses will be even more interesting.
-
BS like that shouldn't be honored.
-
This clearly shows bungie as amateurs . Two minutes of time would have shown this guy to be extremely suspect. Bungie never bothered their a ss .
-
18 RepliesLol "Boosting is cheating" I feel bad for you and all of your friends if you have any.
-
-
2 RepliesSeeing how my main account got forum banned for saying something about legend 8-in-24, i think the action they will take is taking this post down and hoping people will forget. Its a shame if they do that tho. This isnt right and action against that player needs to be taken. If bungie doesnt do that, it shows alot about them.
-
Most definitely boosting they're all the same players and he's trading places with a buddy whose also boosting.

BUMP! Where the hell is bungie with their bullshit "We are looking in to it (but not really cuz we don't -blam!-in care)" comment? If there is one thing I have learned from the CoD (or any other major FPS) franchise, it's that the leaderboards will always be topped with cheating/boosting fagz. Destiny PVP has turned into CoD. Bungie won't do a damn thing because they simply DO NOT CARE. This is why I gave up on giving two -blam!-s about k/d and leaderboards years ago and this is why I absolutely 100% despise PVP now. It's not bungies fault per-say. It's the mentality of these weak ass people that always, no matter what they do in life, will find a way to cheat the system. The only fault of bungie is that they allow it to happen and instead of ignoring these posts, they should roast these players all over the internet so all of us legit gamers can watch them burn (by this I mean track i.p., send camera crew to location, burn mother -blam!-er down, live stream the entire thing). My .02

Yeah it is pretty clear. Not sure how they managed to get the other team not to kill any of them in those matches. They must have messaged the other team, asking them not to attack or something.
-
9 RepliesGotta ask, but considering Destiny is not a true competitive game and that there are no ranked seasons or playlists or even on the eSports circuit - why does it matter? I'm not saying it's right, but I fail to see why it matters if someone 'boosts' their stats in a game where someone K/D really doesn't matter nor does it technically impact others.. Additionally - just because many view boosting as cheating - Bungie has never said that it is and I doubt that they'll care or take action against anyone that is 'found' to be boosting.
-
if posting links to such a thing counts as name shaming or whatever shouldn't twitch streamers be banned seeing as how most of their opponents surely don't agree to be televised and spotlighted especially when they teabag or make a mockery of them during the game
-
3 RepliesBoosting. What a hero
-
-
5 RepliesIt looks like he was boosting, since both of those extraordinary games were against the same team, but it's not a ranked or competitive game mode, so, who cares? He was probably just trying to get some medals that he didn't have before. It's annoying, especially to people who play legit, but no bannable.

3 RepliesEdited by JayBizzle311: 7/15/2016 1:44:52 PMModerators and/or Adminstrators have edited my comment and removed the LINK This is uncalled for... How can you remove a link to a public webpage that everyone can see?? I'm breaking no Terms of Service... Why are you supporting the one that has been proven to boost?? Come on Bungie????? Where's your response... I've spent hundreds on this game between the actual game/DLC's/T-shirts from the store, etc..... I support you... I want you to start supporting me..

1 ReplyI'm not gonna pretend I know how busy those guys are that help with the weekly update, but they don't have a guy to just glance over stats of players they decide to feature? You don't have to hire a private detective, just give it a quick look before showcasing them as a member of the community who's done something bungie deems worthy of mentioning. Nice catch on this though. That's definitely a redflag if I've ever seen one.
