All they can really do for us is to increase all primary damage output, reduce body shot damage for sniper an increase flinch gain from damage while using sniper. That's all that needs to be done.

I'm not convinced that there is a hugh problem with snipers in all game types. I'm certainly not even an average player but I've been hammering out a lot of PvP recently. Snipers are not what kills me the most. Long range shotty's can be annoying but if I'm situationally aware I have a chance to kill them first. Long range sniping. Yeap get taken by that if I don't try and move through cover points. Running in the open on a battlefield is asking for trouble Snipers at close range snap scoping? Doesn't happen that often, but I strafe fir a lot at close up. This certainly makes it hard for me to be hit. Keep moving I have found to be the key. But a good player will usually beat me at range unless I can snap off a quick head shot with my scout. Adapt and overcome! Dont use the same tactics if they are not working. If you can't get to the lighthouse due to snipers, learn to snipe yourself. Work on getting a sniper with hidden or other aim assist. I want to get better at sniping but until I get down to it, its scout/shotty for me

3 RepliesOnly one thing I want changed on snipers, Descope when hit. I played halo yesterday and what do you know, if someone got the drop on me while I had a sniper, I was pretty much forced to hip fire or zoom back in the get the kill. I don't agree with nerfing snipers though, everyone who complains just isn't good at sniping. Those cry babies need to learn that nerfing doesn't fix anything and will not make people snipe less. I would actually snipe more just to piss you all off.

From my experience there's 2 crucibles (talking 6v6 here) In the first one I see lots of different load outs, everyone's typically running similar primaries, but I do see a good mix of shotguns/fusions/snipers in these games. But half the time you get enemy teams of all snipers. It turns games into boring ass hide and seek where I'm afraid to look around any corner because I know I'll see 3-5 sniper glints which equal instant death. I love crucible one. It's overall the best pvp experience around to me and the reason I keep playing the game. Crucible 2 makes me want to throw my controller out a window and never play destiny again.

5 RepliesWell... Snipers were not a problem in Y1... But I must agree that they are now. My skill at the higher levels of the game is directly proportional to how well I can head glitch and drag scope. May as well nerf the snipers too now.

4 RepliesI have been one shot across the map (sniper distance) with scouts and killed. If snipers are nerfed then so should shotguns. Shotguns are ridiculous with distance and jump one shot kills. Sniper shots are not always consistent. They can take two shots, at times. Shotgunners can run twilight gap and get high kill sprees because there really isn't much space to get out of the way - slide or rush, with all the walls.

1 ReplyI might recommend a party crasher and stormcaller. It is a nasty combo and is so much fun to play. I have consistenly dominated in rumble and 6 v 6 playlists with it and had a positive kd nearly every match in 3's

43 Repliesif u watch the best snipers (SirD, kjhovey, daygon, etc.) then u will see that they are good not because snipers are op, its because they have good aim. But then there are those who camp, always scoped in, who are really not good. So overall it depends on how you use them

I just copy/pasted this from a post a while back, but it's true. I agree, and in my opinion just strictly talking PVP every gun type except sniper rifles work as they should. Shotguns- in your face 1-2 shot kill, but you have to be close, works as they should Hand Cannons - deadly really only in close to medium range in the right hands, work as they should minus a few glitches with ghost bullets Scout/Pulse/Auto rifles - gun totally depends on archetype, range/impact, etc. but work as they should based on the guns archetype (low impact high ROF auto wont shoot people across the map effectively, etc) Fusion rifles - 1 shot kill with right archetype, but only at shorter ranges, and risk involved (charge time, rate of fire, etc so harder to use), work as they should Sniper rifles - this is the only gun in the game that someone can be deadly with at any range. The fact that there are snipe archetypes out there with so much aim assist+impact, combined with the fact that the scope doesn't act like a true high power scope makes it possible for someone to pull out the gun at medium and even short range and be accurate. Combine this with the frustration of people using the mouse+keyboard setup and it's just stupid. If you have ever looked through a real high powered scope like on a deer rifle or any other, anything at effective (long) range is visible, but if you scope in on something close or if something "walks" into your scope at mid range it is just a blur and moving too fast to make out. That's how a scope should work for a gun powerful enough to one shot in PVP. Every other gun has it's effective range.

Primary fire against a sniper- headshot descopes, body shot makes you flinch significantly. Improve the perk, unflinching, so that theres no flinch on body shots. Oh yeah, while your at it, outlaw mouse and keyboard. They are for p.c., not console!

Team Fortress 2 is nine-years-old and has a more logical sniper rifle. With their sniper, the longer you scope (2-3 seconds max), the more damage your shot does and the less sway your gun has when idle. Otherwise if you try to insta-fire after scoping, you have crazy amounts of sway and minimal damage. It makes sense. I feel like Bungie tries to reinvent the wheel too much with this game and it just backfires constantly.
