How'd you get your Gally?
I've seen some great stories of how people got their Gally's and I love the nostalgia of Y1 stories. I got my Gally from a legendary engram dropped from a dreg in the cosmodrome. Took it to Rahool (you scandalous, dirty little man) and out popped my beautiful baby G-Horn!.... What's your story?

2 RepliesFrom Xur week 2. Didn't need sunbreakers since I had bought them the week before do I got it for collection purposes. Didn't even use it for a month cause I thought it would be bad.

Didn't get my first one until HoW. From my first level 28 run on my Titan I believe. Right before I opened the chest I said something like "I don't think I'll ever get it. It would be nice though... (Moment of silence as the rewards pop up) OH MY GOD I GOT IT!"

Gorgon chest, purple engraved, and one from Cota. Funny thing is first time my friends told me about Xur he had Icebreaker, but I only had 10 strange coins. Farmed all weekend for coins and didn't get enough. No Icebreaker.

My first Lighthouse visit. Don't know if anyone remembers when people used to say "I earned my_____". Well I said that for my Ghorn for awhile. [spoiler]I got video proof as well.[/spoiler]

Waited for ages and nothing, I ended up Xurning mine. Funny thing was, 2 Gjallarhorns dropped for me the following week. Once during VOG and the other Nightfall. Sods law lol

VoG Hard. Same day and run right after I got my first Fatebringer and Vex. It was a good day.

Vanilla, Pre-TDB Destiny. Level 26, first time doing VoG. I got it from the Exotic Chest and the rest of the team went nuts. I had no idea what the big deal was since it was my first exotic. Unfortunately, it set me up for disappointment since I then expected every other Exotic to be on par with it, but everything disappointed :p

after 40+ raid completions, 3x character nightfalls throughout all of house of wolves and getting the exotic chest on 3x characters every week, plus the exotic chance from the deathsinger on at least 2 characters every week, xûr sold gjallarhorn in august. and i bought it. do i regret it? absolutely not. my friend got this game 2 months ago and has already gotten 3 longbows, one with shortgaze/hidden hand/quickdraw/snapshot/last resort. if you dont think destiny is true rng that will award anyone randomly no matter how much work they put in, you're wrong.
