Yes, I'm really 73 in a couple of weeks and Destiny is the first video game I ever played. I was a 2014 Christmas nube and have played almost every day since late January of 2015. I'm not very good because of my reflexes and eyesight. I also have periferal neuropathy, a nerve condition that causes your hands and feet to go numb. I played alone for 8 months because I had zero skills and didn't want to be the guy that people didn't want on their fire team; bad KTD ratio. Eventually I got better ( thanks to gameguy1973) and recently I started going to Iron Banner but I was never able to complete the bounty requiring you to get the highest score - until tonight. So don't get discouraged if things don't go your way. If an old fart like me can do this you good players can do anything.
Edit: Just wanted to take a minute and thank you guardians for all the nice comments, support, friend requests and invitations to clans. I'll try to respond where appropriate. To you few doubters I'll try to post something on YouTube to prove my age. Got to get the camera back from my daughter.
Edit: Didn't need the camera, I used my iPad to record and post to YouTube. We old dogs can learn new tricks.

You sir are a Legend!

1 ReplyFantastic! I wonder if the gaming exercise could slow the PN progression. It will certainly increase reaction time. The human body is a versatile machine.
OP is happy and the community is happy for him. Question: could this happiness, pride, and feeling of accomplishment be reached by a 73 yo gamer with a neurological disease without SBMM? I don't want your replies or to steal the moment...just think about it.
2 RepliesWhat system(console) do you use?

2 RepliesLove the post! But I don't want you to get into trouble....... You can't post GT names in forums. Just a friendly reminder!
-
1 ReplyFair play buddy! I always struggle with that part of the bounty! Was in a match earlier, a guy was a little less than 100 points behind me and was the only one who could beat my score, it was next kill for the win....and guess who got that kill....not me! Lol

1 ReplyYou on 360?

Im listening to jazz while reading this I feel older but I'm only 16. You made me think to not rage at pvp anymore and just enjoy it. Thank you sir.

2 RepliesTry to get a grip you all. He`s not saying that he`s the best or what ever, just that it`s possible to anyone in certain circumstances to be first. I`m not a cruxible player , only play when suits me, and i`m not good either...because i don`t like to frack my head playing it. I lack the competitiveness. KUDOS for the OP, but he was lucky, VERY LUCKY, like me when i get that IB bounty complete. He wasn`t saying he was the best, just that anyone can really be that lucky. Some days the sun shines for everyone.

1 ReplyBut sir, can you praise the sun!?

1 ReplyYou GO man...I'm 54 myself, and recently suffered a stroke, but managed to go 22-10 in a match last night, which is pretty damn good for me even pre-stroke.

3 RepliesEdited by Sanctified N7: 7/1/2016 12:13:48 PMSo going forward in age has not decreased your huge appetite for attention whatsoever. That's what you're saying right?:)

2 RepliesYou go boy!!!! . I am almost 64 years and retired but love my gaming as it closes the age gap and give us the opportunity to make friends worldwide. I hope to put in many more hours of fun, laughing and banter.
