I'm 73 - was top scorer in an Iron Banner match!
Yes, I'm really 73 in a couple of weeks and Destiny is the first video game I ever played. I was a 2014 Christmas nube and have played almost every day since late January of 2015. I'm not very good because of my reflexes and eyesight. I also have periferal neuropathy, a nerve condition that causes your hands and feet to go numb. I played alone for 8 months because I had zero skills and didn't want to be the guy that people didn't want on their fire team; bad KTD ratio. Eventually I got better ( thanks to gameguy1973) and recently I started going to Iron Banner but I was never able to complete the bounty requiring you to get the highest score - until tonight. So don't get discouraged if things don't go your way. If an old fart like me can do this you good players can do anything.
Edit: Just wanted to take a minute and thank you guardians for all the nice comments, support, friend requests and invitations to clans. I'll try to respond where appropriate. To you few doubters I'll try to post something on YouTube to prove my age. Got to get the camera back from my daughter.
Edit: Didn't need the camera, I used my iPad to record and post to YouTube. We old dogs can learn new tricks.

4 RepliesI have friends who play with their fathers, uncles etc. I have wished for a while now my own dad and grandpa would play b/c I really think they'd honestly enjoy it, but they're in the camp that thinks all generations after them, and video games in general are "what's wrong with our society," which is especially silly and frustrating given all the worlds problems! I really pressed it with my grandpa when Red Dead Redemption had come out. "Pops, it'll be like you're [i]in[/i] the westerns you love watching!" Maybe when the next installment comes out... [spoiler]That'll be the first game to actually "kill" Destiny for me, if only temporarily![/spoiler]

5 RepliesWhat's more likely....a 73 year old awesome gamer. Which it takes to take high score. Things have to go your way and have to be hitting. ......or someone just on the forums saying he's 73. So I say this... Incredible if your 73 and playing this game and moving your fingers with lighting speed and able to find the forums and wright am amazing review But still more likely your not 73 Just saying...and everyone knows it. That being said gives the current generation something to look forward to because they will be 73 and still playing destiny

Nothing wrong with playing at 73 mate and fair play. If you ever need a clan look up self aware. We'd happily have a guy like you. Destiny is about having fun not being sweaty and you prove that.
