I do. I remember the days well. Back in my day you kinder guardians wouldn't know it, but the Titans were the weakest in PvP and only the defender was really useful in PvE. Then we gained the gift of fire and lifted ourselves up. But we burned to hot and too fast and inevitably smashed our thumbs with a hammer. The Nerf hammer.
Now each class has been struck by the hammer. We were told to become legend and now we have become all the same. When everyone is special, nobody is.
You used to mock the strikers for not being on your level, then you were struck down by the nerfhammer. I don't want to see you hurt dear Hunters and Warlocks. I didn't want to see what made you special taken away.
This old Titan never wanted to see you nerfed. What was done to you was wrong and it shouldn't make you want it done to us.
Please dear Guardians, Unite! Cease your incessant calls for nerfs and ask for the old days. We are guardians, we are God slayers. An exotic should be OP and so should we.
Rebuff the Hammer of Sol
Rebuff the year one blade dancer
Rebuff the grenades of the wizened warlocks
Rebuff the tripmines for my brother Hunters
Rebuff their knives
Let the nightstalker roll to his hearts content
Let us become legend, not lame and limping

6 RepliesHm.. okay. I can't do this anymore. As many, many, many people from year one continuously say that Titans were weak, or underpowered, or the jokes of the crucible, I can't help but laugh at them. I laugh because I can't even count on my hands the amount of times that my "weak, underpowered, joke of the crucible" Titan took out teams on his own, held his own through many tense situations, has beaten foolhardy hunters who claim that they and their Bladedancer/Gunslinger are the gods of the crucible, only to be swiftly dealt with via knee to the face, or shotgun to the face, or a handy fist of havoc. You hunters claim to be gods when you can barely hold your golden gun steady when a Titan is maneuvering around you, only to end up behind you or in your face resulting in your inevitable death. Your "supreme/master race" nonsense you spout is quite hilarious, especially when the vast majority of your kills are born of taking your enemies by surprise, or coming up from behind a team that can do nothing to defend themselves. "We'll how is that a bad thing?" It isn't. But don't claim the right of a God if you can be dealt with promptly. Warlocks. Foolish warlocks. With your resurrection.. it was a pain in year one, and carried over to year two as a nuisance. But nothing more. You were dealt with accordingly. Nova bomb, that is something I have the utmost respect for. It makes sense for it to be nearly impossible to stop, you're a Warlock. But you are not master race, get over yourselves. You rely too heavily on your supers and your God forsaken ranged melee. You both, Hunters and Warlocks alike, have no right to deem us Titans weak. I have and always will come on top as a striker when facing my Hunter and Warlock brethren. Do not forget who defended the last city, do not forget who allowed your existence, do not forget who holds sway in the politics of the tower and by extension the city. Weak.. tsk. Okay.. you guys want us to be nerfed? Fine. Blade dancer gets three swings and takes longer to activate. Nova bomb has less range and takes longer to activate with no shield to save you. Warlock range is decreased to the Titans range, as is the Hunters. In fact, no more blink strike. IN FACT, NO MORE BLINK! You all want all this nonsense for us Titans. Enough with the whining and accept the fact that if you can't adapt to a situation then you aren't as good as you think you are, and respect the person for being better than you. The absolute desolation of the Sunbreaker class was unwarranted. Yes, we needed a nerf, it was stupid beyond anything anybody could do in the crucible. But not as severe as it was. Sigh... enough with the undercutting of Titans. We are on the same level as all of you. Hate us if you want. Just know that there are always two sides of a coin. Also. There is no master race. There a good players, really good players, and players in an entirely different caliber than most of us can even fathom. Consider that when you're facing a Titan that clears a room without getting shot simply using a sidearm and his shoulder charge. Or a hunter using a shotgun and blink strike or shadow roll. Or a Warlock using his fusion rifle and blink. Enough with the nerfs. We need things back to where they were, so we can focus on skill and not guns.

Edited by MindEntropy: 6/30/2016 5:12:36 PMIt's still pretty weak to an extent. A titan is suited for close quarters play yet they are at a disadvantage to warlocks in close quarters, especially stormcallers. I'm sorry but against good players you can't just skate up to them and shoulder charge them. It just doesn't work. You'll get shottied every time. Your lunge range is also sad compared to theirs. So you either run jug which is cheap and I don't like running it or you have to ensure your shot is a kill. With how inconsistent shotguns are that's almost impossible. I am by no means saying Titans suck but it's just from my experiences playing recently. And sniping on a titan against good players is suicide.

1 ReplyThe cringe is real.

3 RepliesHammer of sol was like the original vex... It was one of the few nerfs that were actually needed.

I feel ya on that one man. Still using the good old titan from day 1. Striker class was close range so it's always been a strong super as it should be. Don't care if the others were stronger as well made you think a bit how to stay away from them.

I feel like people are overestimating how powerful striker really is, I mean yeah it has 1 good grenade that requires proper placement, a powerful but short ranged melee which is understandable, and fist of havoc us only really good for 1-2 kills. I don't think once in my life I have gotten over 4 kills with FoH in one use...but I have killed the entire team with one nova bomb. (6v6 game mode) Although the other classes have taken a small loss it doesn't really make striker better, simply because everyone thinks it's now the easiest class to use, now with the right build it can be, but if you really think about it, striker isn't really all that powerful, take away the melees power and it sucks because I remember in year one when it did 122 for a melee charge and that was dumb, remove the range on lightning grenade and you basically take away half of its use. They have already taken the good unstoppable from us (bungie) and I don't really think it would be smart to nerf shoulder charge in the ways many of the people wanting it nerfed to be at, why should our ability have both a cool down AND require a melee charge, it also never does a full 180, that means it can go straight left and right which is untrue unless you aim it that way but most of the time you would miss it, if anything shoulder charge has the auto lock on at about 60 degrees on both sides, or like this \_|_/. Now if they changed flashbangs to detonate on contact it would be so much better because most of the time you use those grenades you are too far away for you to rush in and kill who ever blinded.

Edited by Lion: 6/30/2016 1:20:23 PMOh boy. Striker Melee was in my nightmares. But I've been a Titan since the first day, and it mig look like I'm not since I'm not max light, but I've never beaten a boss in Kings Fall

5 RepliesI agree. Nerf fusion rifles

1 ReplyI remember those days, I thought titans were fine, except sunbreakers, who were unkillable machines in the crucible. Smaller changes than what they implemented would be nice since they were hit pretty hard, and I really love the effort you put into this list too.
-
For hunters just keep sticky off trip mines, that made no sense to begin with. Fix every thing of theirs tho, they were fine to begin with
-
Though I neither agree or disagree with you 100 percent, I do love you passion and imagination. Game on guardian (I've hated Titans since launch and will always hate them, but they aren't op)

2 RepliesShut the -blam!- up loser!

Everything was better in the 90's

4 RepliesYou definitely need a life bro cuz you are a human not a titan, warlock or a hunter :'D.

3 RepliesEdited by A_R8_SPYDER: 6/29/2016 11:12:10 PMBro what are you saying Sunbreakers pre nerf were ridiculous, in fact most dedicated players of Destiny on YouTube all agreed that Sunbreaker could use a slight nerf. But nut heads at Bungie over did it cuz, well it never is a surprise. Gunslinger didn't need a nerf, like lol wut was dat even fo- Oh yeah, what a surprise, Bungie's "expert analytic sandbox designers" were responsible for it. Although it sucks that my only defense against shotguns was ShadeStep, it did need a slight ner- "1 ShadeStep with a 3 second cooldown" Oh yay great SAME goes for Twilight Garison Like man, it was FINE.
I'm done here, but summed up; Whoops
