Touch of Malice.. Is it worth it?
So I'm thinking of grinding for the touch of malice next, just wondering if it's worth it because it seems to be a long grind to get it, any tips and tricks out there?

Some general tips When you start collecting the fragments - do so with one character. trust me, it makes tracking so much easier, even after Bungie updated the web site / app to show you the fragments collected based on characters. Before it was account wide and I do believe the 3rd party sites such as [url]https://destinyghosthunter.net/[/url] and [url]http://destinycalcifiedfragments.com/[/url] still track it based on your account. ----------------------------------------- edit 1: [url]https://destinyghosthunter.net/[/url] actually does track based on your characters.. Thanks to @juharr for correcting this oversight.. ----------------------------------------- When you get to the final stage of the quest (after collecting the 45 fragments), you'll have to do a special version of the Fear's Embrace story mission - you're going to want to have company in doing that mission. It can be tough. If you have the Sleeper - bring it and use it. It makes quick work of both the Echo and Mar-Zik. Here's a good guide on how to go about getting the Malice and what is needed at the very stages. [url]http://planetdestiny.com/touch-of-malice-quest-guide/[/url] Take note that there are a couple times where the quest will seem to disappear. Don't panic. It's still active. You just need to collect a certain number of fragments to cause the quest to become 'active' again. from what I recall - that was after you completed the The Undying Mind strike after getting 30 fragments and once you've obtained the 45th one to kick of the final stage of the quest. This maybe a little 'out-dated', but I used the following posting over on reddit to help me keep track of where each fragment was located. After all - if isn't broke... Maybe not in crucible but if you do the raid then HELL YEAH. When I used to raid it was so helpful from daughters up

No. The raid and that weapon is not worth it. Hell, this game is not worth it. All your gear now will be obsolete in Year 3, so what's the point?

If you plan on raiding regular then yes. If not then no.

Just imagine. 6 ToM's, at least 3 Titans with blessing, armor, and weapons of light. Shred any bullet sponge boss. And who knows. It might come in handy during the next raid

2 RepliesYes of course because of course it may be grinding but not against RNG ... It's a guaranteed reward... People getting for hours days weeks ect for a strike weapon with perfect perks... At least this is a quest and you know what you're getting... Don't you want every exotic ???

It's not too hard to get, so I say yes, it is worth it. The worst part is trying to get the right tier 2 CoO combinations for those fragments.

1 ReplyYou [i]must[/i] have it to raid, along with a 340+ light level for normal mode (360+ for hard) and at least 3 Xs in your gamertag.

It's totally useful in KF hard mode on the Sisters and Oryx. Otherwise, if you don't play KF hardmode much then no.

It's only worth it if you are a collector or you want to meet one of the two almost standard KF Raid requirements on LFGs. Otherwise, it's not really worth it at all.

If you don't have one by now I'm going to say no, for you it's not worth it.

Absolutely. Great for tons of PvE activities when you have a defender Titan with blessings of light on your team.

There's no reason to not have it anymore. Do you need it? Absolutely not. But why not just at least start it?

Honestly I don't even use mine to raid anymore unless I'm running middle for ogres. Sisters is pretty cake without it but it does help. If you're decent enough you don't [i]need[/i] it.

Depends on how much you're planning on raiding. Best gun for oryx fight but not at all required

Takes an hour and a half roughly to find all fragments outside the tier 3 court fragments. Not difficult at all

It makes the sisters and oryx about 20 times easier, but you probably won't use it outside of the raid. There really aren't any cheeses for it, just look up some videos.
