Oh yeah, forgot I switched to that...
Looking for those funny stories of Guardians that forgot they switched subclasses or guns and then went to use them and had an epic fail.
I personally have dove in from the sky on a control point harboring 4 opponents to bubble them and proceed to face palm as I was then used as a punching bag.
Activated my super as a hunter expecting golden gun to come to life and kill the two Guardians from a good distance away...what happened was I blade danced my way to them, made it about half way after standing there for a few seconds shaking my head to myself.
Edit: Hilarious stuff guys, loving it all as we have all been there. Sure it may not have been funny for you at the time, but looking back you can't help but laugh.
Edit: Pretty sure if this was a poll, FoH/bubble would be winning.

Warlock. Was a voidwalker, switched to self res for trials. Super up! "NOVA BOMB!" ... ... Aaaaand there goes self res...

I miss timed my golden gun one time, it was trials and I was the last alive when a warlock used self res in front of me. There were a few orbs near by and I figured golden gun would deal with anyone else that got revived too. Went to activate it and got the timing wrong, like when you go to throw a wombo and waste a tether. But in reverse. Anyway I ended up throwing a knife at him, a trip mine and then body shot him with a sniper. There were loads of grenades going off but it seems throwing everything at him was enough. Was very surprised I survived though. Lol

Too many times in yr 1 I'd run some pvp straight after a few strikes or raid, not usually a problem unless it was as Titan as I ran defender in pve, so id be running head first towards opponents with super ready, about to unleash FoH especially on heavy spawn....... 2 RepliesWell, on Thursday in Kings fall hard. I was using my Raid LMG on the war priest, we killed him and he dropped a 335 rocket launcher, so by default, I put it on. Then we got to Golgroth, we began doing the challenge and then when it came to doing damage I held changed to my heavy and held RT/R2... I blew myself up

When I first started using my hunter in PvP I can't even remember how many times I popped my super right in front of the enemies only to be sniped before I could do anything. Well I had to learn somehow lol.

I switch back to my warlock after playing on my titan. So many times have I wanted to evade away with Twilight Garrison but so many times I forget that I can only float away and get shot down. Even worse was when I decided to do some Trials. A trick I always liked to do is to tease snipers by getting in their view and then use Twilight Garrison so they miss their shot. I float in front of their shot. I double click B to evade. Nothing happens and I wind up with a bullet in my head.

2 RepliesI always switch from my primary to a shotgun, whenever I approach close quarter situations. And pretty much every damn time I get killed and respawn, I forget to switch back to my primary again. So next time I face an opponent in a further distance, I aim down sights, wondering a little why the HUD doesn't look how I expect it to do and start shooting. Which of course doesn't do shit and my opponent has a free kill.

Last night, Exodus Blue I lept around to the outside heavy spawn, about 5 enemies gathered around it. Jumped out and around over the edge. Went to Fist of Havok (Death from above). Bubble, straight down. Dead. Damn fool.

This was back in the Dark below expansion. My team and I were trying to beat crota and I was running the sword. We had been stuck at this part for hours. The friend who normally took the sword died so I took his place. I went up to Crota to melee him and go invisible only to throw a knife at him and stand there awkwardly......

I'm just bad at fist of havocing... On widows court at the stairs near crows nesting, I go to leap over the steps and get a possible breaker... I had death from above on and I just went straight into the steps....

I was running vog ages ago, titan says he'll pop weapons of light during atheon. Fist of havoc off the platform...... Guardian down.

That friend of a friend was non stop harping on me for every little thing, telling me how much I sucked, how useless I was, blah blah blah. We get down to the Gorgon Maze and decide to kill a Gorgon. Typically I ran Defender with WoL so I'm like, I got a bubble! I run into position to drop my bubble and proceed to Fist of Havoc. Each shock from the Aftermath seemed to mock me as we all die, since we now lacked the DPS to take down a gorgon without my WoL. I was so mortified I just left.

Finds the ENTIRE enemy team in one area, and proceeds to throw Nova Bomb. Instead finds himself with flame wings getting shot to death.

I see the three harpies that spawn on the right coming from the portal. I'm getting excited, can't wait to smash the stuffing out of them.they come down the stairs and I go for it, I leap in the air turn towards them and hit the bumpers. There I am in a bubble with two of them. They look at each other do their little harpy squeak ( I imagine they are saying something like "look at this guy, do you believe this, wait until we tell Atheon about this one, what an idiot") and blow up. Guardian down.

Came flying into a control point that had 4 opponents capping the flag. Planned on FoH'ing them only to burst into flames with hammers in my hands and was melted by all 4 before I even realized what was happening lol. I got a well deserved T-bag after that one. Sadly, this has happened to me more than once so now whenever I switch, I have to constantly remind myself for a match or two lol.
