Oh yeah, forgot I switched to that...
Looking for those funny stories of Guardians that forgot they switched subclasses or guns and then went to use them and had an epic fail.
I personally have dove in from the sky on a control point harboring 4 opponents to bubble them and proceed to face palm as I was then used as a punching bag.
Activated my super as a hunter expecting golden gun to come to life and kill the two Guardians from a good distance away...what happened was I blade danced my way to them, made it about half way after standing there for a few seconds shaking my head to myself.
Edit: Hilarious stuff guys, loving it all as we have all been there. Sure it may not have been funny for you at the time, but looking back you can't help but laugh.
Edit: Pretty sure if this was a poll, FoH/bubble would be winning.

A few months ago I was using my primary on a pretty good streak and I ran out of ammo mid fight, I rushed him with what I thought was my shotgun, and it turns out it was a medium impact sniper. I got a no-scope body shot and he had probably 3 health and then I died

I tried to show someone how to do the death from above jump for the jumping puzzle in VoG. Ran up, stagger the double jump to get closer, twilight garrison to get even closer and then heard the sound of a hammer. I think one of the hammers got close to the end of the puzzle, but my poor Titan did not

I was using invective with no back up plans instead of Hawkmoon and twilight garrison. Flew round a corner and saw a red light, yeah, you can guess what happens next

I forgot I switched from stormcaller to void Walker, popped my super facing a wall and out comes a nova bomb. Smh

i once forgot i still had the celestial nighthawk on. that defender died anyways.

Same thing here. Forgot I switched to defender from striker. Dove in on a group of four at a cp, and dropped a bubble. Wasnt ready for it and got shotgunned by 2, in my own bubble. I suck.

Thought I had defender on, was wounded, threw a lightning grenade at the enemy and it bounced off, sticking the doorframe the enemy was coming through, which pointed it directly at me. It was a series of unfortunate events, truly.

Thought they were flux grenades. They were trip mines. I died. Shoulder charge guys get really close

Played a couple games of iron banner with encore instead of hungering blade. I was getting pissed because I didn't know why I wasn't getting health back. When I finally figured it out I felt so stupid.

Had both the Dead Orbit auto rifle and fusion equipped and forgot both had the same gunsights as well. Needless to say I'm sure I looked like a complete idiot to the guy I was trying to pull the trigger and shoot with a primary but it was a fusion rifle instead.

Switch weapons and subclasses to level them with the bounties and forgot to switch back from Sunsinger to Stormcaller. Next match radar lit up red in front, hit my super, dove through the door and hit the trigger! Nothing happened and I died! ROFLMAO!

I got capped yesterday thinking I was on my nightstalker but was running gunslinger.. went to hit someone with a mid-air shadowshot, got killed before I could even use the golden gun.

2 RepliesAfter playing hours of IB with my warlock I switched to blade dance hunter. The first match was on vertigo. I thought I'd be slick and glide to some of those small side ledges to get to our first point... First action of the game ended up being me quick double jumping off the map to misadventure.

I forgot I didn't have the extended pounce on for Fist of Havoc. I saw a group of three or more. I FoH, hoping to pounce on them. I stay in place and harmlessly smack the ground.
