*I won't lie. When I started reading these they got pretty brutal.
*I really wasn't expecting so many replies. I'm reading each one though, you talk about your fear to your heart's content.
*This post is going places. Not sure the best places, but places.
*I guess it's only fair for me to share as well. For starts my biological father was a tremendous drug addict, left when I was born, and I never saw his face. (He's dead)
My mom was working multiple jobs trying to support us. The man she had been dating at the time was abusive for months and it eventually got to the point where he tried to kidnap me and I really freaked out cause I thought I wouldn't see my mom again. But she came in like a badass and hit him with the car. That night I was sleeping in her room and had a legitimate out of body experience. I was levitating above my mom and myself and I could see everything. I woke up shortly after and my mother and I were positioned exactly how I saw, the television was on the same show I saw, and the clock was only 2 minutes ahead of what I saw.
So yeah, keep this going and I'll share more.

The scariest thing I have seen was when after a long night I fell asleep and it was like 1 in the morning. So I keep waking up at different intervals on the floor near my closet. But, on the fourth time I woke up I was holding a loaded shotgun with the hammer ready to fire. Scariest part was that it was pointed at my face with my finger on the trigger.

3 RepliesSeeing red eyes in a nearby forest Seeing a shadow on all fours moving under cars Shadow people (not that terrifying, i thought they actually looked pretty cool, minus the stuff dripping from some of their nails which would most likely be blood)i was around 10 when i started seeing them, i was home alone most of the time and thats when i saw them the most Didn't see it, but heard really loud really high pitched laughing from the forest, i was about 2 blocks away when i heard it Ghost with a distorted body looking at me from my closet (i could not go to sleep that night, i was about 11 years old) Astral projection(leaving your body during a dream and basically exploring the world/universe)(this one wasn't necessarily scary, but initially i freaked out since i was around 9 at the time, but i only went around my town)

Scariest thing I've ever seen is a Windego. Bear with me here, because I was a massive skeptic before I actually saw it. One of my buddies back home used roam around some woods near his house. He named it "The Darkovian Forest" because it's rural, small town kansas and we have nothing to do. He used to have stories about stuff he'd seen there that ranged from the moderately out there to completely far fetched. So one night we got a group of friends together to go ghost hunting down there. Like I said, I went there as the biggest skeptic. We roamed around the woods for a couple hours and nothing happened. We came across a tent that was pretty torn up, but there were a few homeless people that would live in these woods apparently so we thought little of it. At one point, I was about to suggest that we just go back because there wasn't shit happening. Right as I thought that I looked up to the crest of a hill to my right. And I shit you not, I saw the most vivid gray silhouette run across the hill top at break neck speed. It went from a gray shadow with a lanky figure to a gray streak and it moved so fast that I was certain it couldn't have been human. And it wasn't like any animal you'd find in kansas. I didn't know what it was at the time, but I knew I saw something supernatural. I left that forest a believer. It wasn't until years later that I finally heard the story of Windegos. They have gray skin, gangly limbs, move at unnatural speeds, and they live and hunt in the woods. And the legend says that they like to attack campers. I can't describe to you the chills I felt after hearing the legends. It seems like an iffy story, and you don't have to believe me. Because I know what I saw with my own eyes.

1 ReplyI have a few: If you have ever experienced sleep paralysis, you know this one. Basically you are woken up from a nightmare, but cant move at all. Your brain starts to hallucinate and panic. All of it happens right in your room and you cant move at all. One time i was out on a cruise ship in the carribean when i was 12 or so. We had just drpped over the continental shelf, when i looked over my veranda, and saw a massive black shape moving with us in the water. It was about twice the size of a blue whale, but i couldnt make out any details. The figure then dove down and disspeared. I could barely even see the spot, and it could've just been my eyes, but the shape and behavior of it makes me think it was some kind of undiscovered massive creature. This could be possible, because only 5% of the worlds oceans have been mapped out. I was visiting Gettysburg PA with my family about 5 or 6 years ago, and we were standing at the sight of a large bloody fight. My dad asked for a picture, and he jokingly said "maybe we'll find some ghosts in here" He took the picture, and once we got home, our faces were cropped out and there were white wisps around where the battle was. The same thing happens to alot of people. Just search Gettysburg ghost photos and you'll find similar ones.

12 RepliesWhen I was younger, I would get this same nightmare over and over and over but somethings changed in it. The only absolute was that I was killed. So ya, here goes nothing..... I would "wake up" in bed and I would hear a growling sound. When I looked with my peripherals, I would see a huge black dog the size of a tiny horse. The dog would be looking at me gnarling his teeth and with blazing red eyes (note that I am actually scared by red eyes or demonic things which may have been cause by this dream). He would then proceed to maul me and I would try to fight back but he was too big (someone goings to take this out of contexts ;)). Almost every night, I would get this dream. I continued to try and fight it but couldn't. But then years later when I was a teen, I started getting into mythology and reading books about it. It just really fascinated me. Well, I came across the Percy Jackson books. I enjoyed the series a lot and when he came out with a little short book. There was a picture in there that had an all black dog with red eyes. It practically looked like the one from my dream. Needless to say, I could sleep well for days. It really freaked me out. When I eventually got some sleep, I woke up to hearing growling. Now, I had my dog in my room so I thought it was her but I looked and the asshole was there about to pounce on me. This time because I was much older and not as scared. I killed it but I died to. It had a look of surprise in its eyes when I did. I was happy that I finally beat it but sad a little to. I care about animals a lot so even though it "hurt" me, I hated doing that. So I went to sleep the next night and it was there again. This time though, he wasn't gnarling his teeth or anything. He proceeded to go next to me and nudge my face lovingly. I thought to myself what the -blam!-. He then stood facing away from me like he was guarding me now.
Sorry for the long read but never really talked about it before and wanted to make it detailed.
1 ReplyI once saw a pedophile following a young teen girl. This happened few years ago when i was chilling in a small town near my summer cottage. This girl came to me and told that she had a feeling that a old dude was following her. And soon that dude showed from behind the school, but didn't come closer since i was with that girl (btw she wasn't a complete stranger to me. We had talked couple of times before). Then there came a couple of dudes, around 19-years old, that knew this girl. They decided to walk with that girl to her house. Soon after that i decided to leave and went the same way they went, and that old dude was following them 20 meters behind them.

3 RepliesEdited by bpkaty78: 5/25/2016 5:46:56 PMWhen I was about six or seven, I woke to some clanking. A little back story, My parents and I had moved to a new apartment, and for some reason they built it above an Amish burial ground. I had a pretty sweet room, with one of those beds with a desk under it (think bunk bed, without the bottom and a desk instead). Anyway, I woke up and heard some banging. I thought, that's my dad getting ready for work, but I realized it was too dark to be 5:00. I rolled over and saw a boy about my age, with overalls and a cowboy hat. Being the curious little six year old I was, I slipped off my bed and sat right next to him. He looked up at me with astonishment. He held up a toy car that I had left out earlier that day. Somehow I knew that he didn't know what to do, so I showed him the rest of my toy cars. We eventually started racing them around, and having fun. I guess I was laughing too loud, because I heard my mother wake up and walk towards my room. The little boy I met grabbed something off my bed and waved goodbye, and sunk into the ground. Next thing I knew my mom was pulling me towards her room so that I could sleep with her. I told her I needed my stuffed animal, and I ran back to grab it. When I saw it was gone, I almost cried. But then the boy rose out of the ground, and with a guilty face he gave me my stuffed animal back. He told me his name as well, which I have sadly forgotten. I asked my mom if we could meet the boy tomorrow. She looked me right in the eyes and asked which boy. I told her his name, and she looked almost scared. She told me to go back to sleep in her room with her. I look back into my room and saw the boy peer at me, again waving goodbye. When I woke up next morning, I went and fed my baita fish and headed to my room. When went back in there, all the toys were put back in there spots as neatly as possible, and my bed had been made. It was as if my room was brand new. I never saw the boy again, but I will always remember his ghostly white appeal and kindness, but when I think of him it still always gives me the chills because of his face of sadness when he waved goodbye.

2 RepliesWarning: this might disturb you... --------------------------------------------------------- Well, i had one experience where i was legit dead for some few seconds...i got so fukking scared. Sadly, this event was a suicide...luckily it failed. I felt and saw my body falling towards the floor, and i couldnt stop it. So there i was, laying on the floor, thinking to myself "NEI! Ka i helvete!!" (translation: NO! WTF!) Ii felt like i was being consumed and dragged into this void...felt like teleporting to another universe. It was a sickening feeling; but at the same time...i had never been more relaxed. Its a feeling i dont want to feel, but at the same time, i kinda liked the relaxed part. From that day, i became way more mature and able to understand death, and why it truly is a thing you fear only before you really know what it is. But i also appreciate life alot more now, i see how beautiful nature and the world is. "What is the meaning with life?" is a common question. I think that it doesn't have any; you shall create one for yourself. You want to build a boat? Then just do it. You want to become a black belt in karate? Well make your dreams come true. Time...is very precious and shouldnt be wasted. You have about 90 yrs to live. Use them; dont just sit there and wait til theyre gone.
dont worry, im not suicidal. Alteast not know...
4 RepliesSpiders. The worst ones you can imagine. The monstrous camel, the goliath bird eater, the new found 10 legged spider, and at least one of the breeds that have learned how to weave their web to allow them to glide along air currents and rain down upon their prey. Terrifying stuff right there. If i didnt already have arachnophobia (which i was born with), id certainly have it after encountering any 1 of these demons.
