If you shotgun rush...
You're bad. People need to learn how to use their primaries more than their secondaries. I myself use Chaperone, but at least it's more of a precision gun. Most people in pvp shotgun rush, shotgun camp, sniper camp, or spam grenades. I'm not complaining, but I do think crucible would be more fun if there were more 1v1 engagements and less waiting games. In all my pvp career, the best players I've played actually utilized their primaries, almost not even using a shotgun or sniper, or fusion.
Moral of the story; you have a primary so please use it.

1 ReplyNothing makes me laugh harder than a shotgun to the back of the head of a hardscoped sniper. If no one's around me I sometimes -blam!- with them before I kill them. It's not shotgun rushing but I'll also rush snipers all the time. It's not being bad, it's tactics. Pulling them out of their ideal range and into mine. I love how they panic.

3 RepliesI don't do it, but I think it's a legit strategy. That said, it bothers me more than anything else people do. It's pretty common, so you can usually see it coming, though. They're trying to get you flustered. The best counter to that is to get them flustered. Those assholes never expect it. I'll run at them and jump over their head as they charge me (using Bones of Eao). By the time they turn around, I have enough time to take aim, do a little dance, blow a kiss, and fire a deadly Lord of Wolves shot to their stupid face (don't do all of that). They're counting on you standing there and taking it. Act accordingly. Too many people want to stand still and count on ttk alone, then whine about it. Move your feet and kill those mother-blam!-ers![spoiler]Before the k/d comments start, I I usually -blam!- around in PvP and play intoxicated. I swear I know what I'm doing, though. :p[/spoiler]
