Another "Destiny Killer" has failed...
It's come to my attention that the latest news regarding the upcoming patch for a certain Tom Clancy game from Ubisoft has it's playerbase in an uproar. That game had been proposed to be (like many before it) to be the game that ends Destiny. How ironic that it's actually committing it's own suicide a little more than a month after release, and here we are, 2+ years into Destiny.
The game's not perfect...not by any stretch, but in hindsight Destiny is doing a lot better than a lot of other AAA titles that have come and gone since September 2014, and has a lot of good things for it.
But not to worry haters...there's still No Man's Sky. Or Overwatch. Or maybe Paragon. Keep hope alive!!! lmao

7 RepliesDespite the CONSTANT b!tching and moaning for nerfs and buffs in the game as well as an arguably broken RNG loot table system, Destiny's gunplay and overall mechanics are hands down an addictive force to be reckoned with.

44 RepliesThe Division has already had more game breaking bugs and exploits than Destiny has had in a year and a half. They were so bad they had to completely revamp the way the loot system works. The Division killed itself, not that it was going to make it more than a few months anyway.

Uproar? Are you talking about the new crafting patch notes? Well if you are, Ubisoft released some more patch notes regarding loot drops a few days later,and it pretty much explains the justification for the new crafting. The division didn't kill destiny, but like a lot of other games it weakened it. For the most part, destiny did the most damage to itself.

1 ReplyThe division actually has more active players then destiny daily. And is currently the most popular game on the Xbox 1 ever. And this is coming from someone who plays destiny more and prefers it. Anyone who thought it would kill destiny isn't very intelligent because they were actually made to attract different crowds and ATM destiny is more of a pvp game than a PvE (even though there's the dark zone but still most people go for high ranking enemies.) Like the division. The division just has a brighter future. Destiny is unfortunately a nail, And the community is just hammering the nail down aggressively from every direction. It has a plan unlike destiny. We know what's coming, and know what to except and with a few promises of extra content through the year. While bungie doesn't tell us anything until a few weeks before and even then all of the information is so cryptic.

Personally I never expected it to kill destiny, just diminish its player base a little. The division is by no means a suitable game for the average destiny player which is where a lot of the bad reviews are coming from. I'll admit there is a current lack of content (to be expected in the first month of a game of this style) and TV dark zone needs a little tweaking. Overall I love the game, way more interesting to me than destiny was/is. People who expected it to be like destiny are just mad that they can't mindlessly grind for a top tier weapon and automatically be competitive. It takes a lot of planning to find a build that suites you which I love, but a lot of people don't want to put in the time to learn the stats system and how it affects you and then even more time to perfecting a build for yourself. [b][u]TL;DR[/u][/b] Destiny try hard=Division casual Division is not for casuals

The patch on Tues is a major step forward as far as how you gear up Crafting should never be the end boss Sorry, but redoing PoE is not new and adding Neon color shaders is stupid at this point...but you do have a new strike (area in reverse) and some new guns, oh wait I played a ton of Destiny(I love thebgamr but am not blind) and so far have like 80+ hours in Division and have seen one bug and that was a collision issue with a friendly NPC that pushed me through the map(yea, I also know about the backpack/lockout and stat issues for DPS) Most of the glitches are on PC and yeah, Ubi is failing there hard with cheat prevention Sorry man, but Destiny had its time...and Bungie should use this and move on to Destiny 2 In the end tho...Play what you enjoy Last I heard, Games were spose to be fun

I DO think games like Overwatch and Battleborn that are coming out soon are going to take a significant chunk of Destiny's player base, just as every "Destiny killer" has before. Destiny can't and won't be killed by just one game. However, it has been very slowly declining with each big release that comes around.

And yes, Division has a lot of broken skills. PvP is pretty lame. The only thing it has going for them is a challenging PvE. (Even that's kind of a stretch).
