Someone help.
-year 1 weapons (not all) coming back including various exotics and legendaries (check out their Instagram to keep up with the exotics)
-y1 legendaries can drop from legendary engrams randomly
-15 new armor sets!?!
-One Spektar set per class (chroma glow armor)
-One Taken set per class
-Three Faction Sets per class (one new set per faction)
-[b]a "set of armor" refers to the collection of a headpiece, arms, torso, and legs (not sure about class item)[/b]
-gear infusion rate is 100%
-infuse a 320 into a 220 and it will turn into a 320
-more vault space (108 vs the current 72)
-praise the gun, Shia, and taken jitter emotes (taken is free once whole taken armor set is collected)
-Chroma glows on weapons are re-rollable for 100 glimmer
-dramatically increased rep gains all around!

For those wondering how Sterling Treasures work:
You get three "sterling treasures" once every reset. One for logging in, one for completing level 41 PoE once, and one for doing the weekly crucible activity once.
The sterling treasure contains two loot pools. One Guaranteed Items pool, and one Possible Items pool.
You are guaranteed 1 item from the first pool, and up to two items from the second.
The first pool contains Taken and Spektar gear. The second contains stuff like chromas, reputation buff consumables, and other stuff.
You can also get sterling treasures from Tess Everis for 200 silver if you don't want to wait until the next week. The gear is at 3 light level so don't worry about it being pay to win.

144 RepliesMeh. I have not played since November and I am very proud of that fact. The notes regarding this update are somewhat nice but not enough to bring me back..especially when there are other games to play (Dark Souls 3 launches...but seeing this is an FPS catered to the filthy casuals, you won't understand Dark Souls) The fact they are making infusion 100% stats now from the 80% margin is to empathize they know we don't want to grind as much anymore. The question here to be asking is, why wasn't it 100% from the beginning? If you have a brain, it's because you know they wanted us to play longer. Artificial grinding to extend game play. It's the same concept as to why they started selling weapon parts. People aren't playing because they are grinding. This explains the large drop of players not playing Destiny anymore. To be honest, I won't be coming back to grind out all the stuff I have before. Year 1 weapons coming back is great... but why not all of them? Why aren't we asking these questions? WE already know they are already in the game via disc or expansions, just locked out. This is a good decision but when it comes to Crucible, won't really matter since PVP is a 3-5 gun meta game and always has been...and will be. I don't see how "new context" is old content you already had. I don't get the hype about year 1 exotics you grinding in year 1 coming back. Why weren't they just there? Lastly, I see a lot of people saying "free update"... Sure, it's free to those who own TTK but you paid for TTK so technically, it's not free. If you Google the word "free" you get: 1. not under the control or in the power of another; able to act or be done as one wishes. 2. not physically restrained, obstructed, or fixed; unimpeded. 3. without cost or payment. This update is restricted to those who did not shell out the cash for TTK. That, is not what you call "free" I hope some of you with logic can see this as well. Get hyped. I'll be back here to see the disappointment heads in a couple of weeks.

As Much As I am excited for this update, barely a third of the stuff is new, most of it is reskins and comebacks. Where are those other unreleased exotics

One infusion and your light 3 gear is now light 335. Pay. To. Win. It's starting.

My problem with Eververse selling sterling treasures is that when Bungie announced microtransactions they said that it would be purely cosmetic. The armor from the treasure have a defense rating and RNG based perk rolls, which makes it no longer purely cosmetic. Let's say a player wants a specific armor setup. They can just throw enough money at the screen until they get it. Yes I know it's 3 defense, and I know it's not pay to win. But some of you guys need to realize how close it is to becoming that. When they first announced Eververse I laughed at anyone who said it was a slippery slope, and now I realize how wrong I was.

In fact, garbage's opinion is worth more than yours. I saw this post before I saw the stream, and before I learned what was coming. I honestly thought it was satire or one of those "look we want this and surprise we didn't get it but I'm posting this list to share how far off Bungie is with their updates". But no, I looked and it's all there. All these things that seem too good to be true are here, plus with one more reveal with no clue what it could possibly be. If Bungie has done this well with listening to what we want, do you really think they aren't going to keep that up? If the only thing you -blam!-ers can complain about is that the update isn't 'free (newsflash, it's free) or that the packages are pay to win (newsflash#2, it's not pay to win, you get no advantage over anyone else), then clearly Bungie has done a damn good job and if you're so negative you seriously need to just go.
