Is Destiny the best $ per hour game you've ever spent?
I'm not saying Destiny is cheap when paying for it, but if I look at it on a dollar per hour basis the game carries an incredible value. I started about 3 months into year one and with the update coming soon, it looks like I'll continue to have more to do.

Skyrim. Borderlands 1. Demon's souls. Dark souls. All of these top destiny by far imo. In the summer of 2010 i played borderlands around the clock, literally every day until school started. Destiny isnt that fun anymore, never thought id actually quit. Its an amazing game[spoiler]but metas[/spoiler]

Yeah, Destiny is tied with Nuclear Throne (PS/PC) for me. They're both my favorite games.

100 launch 80 ttk is 180 total. 1400 hours. About 13 cents per hour game time. Excluding the fact that an easy 30% is spent in orbit/tower. While I paid 80 for mw2 and dlcs with 30 days not including hours and minutes its 11 cents an hour. Im sure I could include other games that are drastically better value as they are cheaper with more replayability. For example rocket leagur is 20 bucks and by the time im done with jt I may have around 400 hours. Abt 5 cents an hour.

For me WoW had more bang for a dollar. Then again i have the money to spend and dont mind the $15 a month sub. I wish this game had a sub, but solid content. That would weed out a massive amount of crybaby scrubs.

3 RepliesEh. Many people on destiny, myself included, are used to playing sub-based games. Destiny is dirt cheap and I would rather go to a $10-15/mo. sub, if it meant solid content patches at regular intervals and real live support.

Counter-strike beta-1.0 it was free and I had hours on hours of Lan time competing against friends on our local gaming stores dedicated server. And even more from 1.0-1.6. But since it's a half-life mod and all the other games I also played like day of defeat, team fortress classic etc were all mods. I'd have to go with half-life since it's engine gave me over 10 plus years of gaming enjoyment for free typically. And now the half-life source engines are still pumping out game after game after game to this day.

Destiny is close. I believe my time spent in FF14, PSO2, PSU, and CoD: MW3 were well worth every single dime.

I say yes. I have been a day one player on Xbox one. Got every available exotic and close to max grimoire score. I like it so much that I recently bought a PS4 and have started the grind all over again. So to me, I have definitely got my money's worth.

I had about 150 days worth of playtime on Guild Wars 1 over 6 years. Spent about $200 for all the expansions. 0.055 cents an hour....

Elite £10 and played for 4 years, no dlc, no patches. 8 bit computers. And don't mention grind.

No, I got over 1500 hours out of White Knight Chronicles I and II. Two games for $20 So far I've gotten about 1000 hours out of Destiny. $200 for half a game and a box of raisins.
