Belgium is a fully developed country, hell it's even got the Diamond District of the world in Antwerp, it was affected by a terrorist attack where there were several hundred innocent victims, no doubt family & friends, and those who were caught up in the explosions might need counseling, and infrastructure will need to repaired, security and intelligence improved to prevent further attacks. If you compare it to the Nepal fundraiser, Nepal is an underdeveloped country, that was hit by a natural disaster which killed almost 9000 people, and made [u]millions[/u] homeless, people were left without basic essentials like food, water, sanitation, medication and so on. Whilst, no one deserves their life to be taken early, whether it be due to human actions (if you can classify terrorists as humans), or natural disasters, you have to question how a fundraiser is going to help Belgium. If you really want to fundraise, maybe a region like Syria, which has an active war, or somewhere in Africa like Sierra Leone where kids don't have access to clean water. Anyway, in conclusion, I didn't expect much intelligence from the Destiny Community, and you delivered.

Although I appreciate your concern and support, how about you yourself (don't ask bungie or someone else to do it for you!) start a fund raiser for the people who actually need it, the millions or war refugees stuck in refugee camps in terrible conditions all over the world for example and there are many, many others (sadly enough). Yesterday was one of the blackest days ever for us belgians and even though we greatly appreciate the (moral) support from people all over the world we have no need and don't want your money. Gve it to the people that really need it, we'll manage just fine without it.

Do you realize what small percentage of Muslims are involved in terrorist organizations? 2 RepliesPeople need to understand that isis, and other groups like it, are Muslim. They are Muslim extremists group. This does not mean that the fact that they are Muslim is the reason why they are terrorists. They follow a very radical, twisted, version of Islam. There are other terrorist groups out there that aren't Muslim. But, I think it's safe to say that most are. It is not ok to say that the reason that these groups are so evil is because of their faith. But it does not change the fact that they are Muslim. The Quaran is a very radical book, and some Muslims take its meaning far too literally.

8 RepliesThere are plenty of people wading into this argument at the moment so I thought I'd get my tuppence worth and wade in too. Firstly with regards to the fundraiser then I'm all for it. Brussels has suffered a horrific attack and we as a civilised world need to show that we will stand up to this and not be idle while this type of atrocity goes unpunished. Secondly with the whole Muslim / ISIS debate. I understand not all Muslims support ISIS, in fact, very few do. However if somebody continually committed murder in my name it would not be long before I stood up against them. Real Muslims need to do this and they'll find the world supports them, both in our thoughts and in our actions. Stop saying 'not me' and actually stand against these scum and watch the world rally behind you.
