I have 2 doctrines of passing one with rodeo the other with range finder which is better and why the one with range finder seems to have trouble keeping on my target idk it may jist be me using it but I've used necrocham which is the same archetype

Both are bad. The best perks to have is hidden hand and counterbalance.

I'd use range finder, also I have my dop equipped on my hunter had it for a while haven't bothered using it a lot, should I use it more?
