Is The Division the Destiny killer?
The beta has more Story than Destiny vanilla, 4 player co op, bigger map and more players in a server. We will see what is going to happend.

I played the closed beta and I have access to this one. I've played the two available missions in this current Beta. I liked it, the missions are challenging and the drops are interesting. Being able to upgrade weapons with suppressors, scopes, grips etc to effectively increase handling, damage, ammo etc is a nice touch. Leveling up is simply yet it can be a risk, for example in the dark zone, if you die you lose xp. (it's easy to die in there) the AI is clever enough to challenge you. To me it has an interesting story. Can't wait to see what happens.

To be honest, we thought that fallout 4 and black ops 3 will completely dominate destiny. Yet, here we are playing the same games. Because they're so much fun.

Just got my head into the beta, and my lord is it amazing. The darkness zones are awesome. The third person aspect, is awesome. I think destiny is a game long far gone to me (pun intended), and I most likely won't be going back.

It's also a third person shooter. Also I can't fly in it, it seems so nah.

1 ReplyJust played the division for a hour and I can tell you it's never gona come remotely close to takin destiny down it sucks way to much stupid shit to get change bla bla I mean he'll you can't even jump and the whole 3rd person shooter mode is stupid in my opinion it's not gona hook pepole like destiny

I don't get why every game has to be a destiny killer. The witcher 3 was a destiny killer, black ops 3, halo 5, dark souls, and now the division. Why can't they co-exist? The division is nothing like destiny. I've played the alpha and both betas and I can say they are totally different games. Played totally different. Both are super fun. I just don't get why destiny has to died because one game comes out. Also, this is not a topic for feedback forums. This should be in the other games forums.

Although these post are getting up surd, the division is very promising. I personally will play both but the division more. Seems more tactical and conflict driven.

Not for me. As a sci fi fan, contemporarily set games such as The Division, Watchdogs, and GTA just don't appeal to me.
