Be honest with yourself. Physical shape, social life, studying, esc are the factors to consider.

video games arent really a problem, the thing is when it becomes an addiction.
-
Of course.

Directions unclear, Dick stuck in ps4

As of right now, I'd say yes. I've played video games for nearly a decade but I can't say for sure if I've benefitted from it although It's an incredible stress reliever for someone like me. A game like Destiny is perfect for me for reasons I'd rather not explain and I think the game and other games have made me a happier person. As for my physical health, school work, etc. I think video games have hurt in the past. Soon I plan on trying to make something of the game through something such as Twitch perhaps. I have plans to where eventually the answer to this question will be a no, but as of right now, it'll have to be a yes.
-
Don't view it as would my life be better if I quit video games, view it as would my life be better if I started x (working out, reading whatever)
-
This is a hard question. Yes i would be better to be free of an addicting activity and potentially get more sleep. But then I would have face more realities in my life that gaming helps me ignore and i would likely dive from one addiction to another.
-
Nope.

Getting to kill things every night makes me happy.

As an artist you can use gaming as "inspiration"
-
41% say it would be worse lmao
-
I may be slightly more active but I'd be much more tense. Gaming is my release.
-
Id rather spend my free time playing games than watch tv, doesnt have to ruin your life just learn time management.
-
No because I would just binge watch Netflix at least video games use my brain a little
-
Join the PUA community. It's way more fun and rewarding. And most of all. It's REAL.
-
I would definitely be spending more time with my family. Video games are the ultimate time waster, and of the devil.
-
Would it be better with less crybabies on forums?... yes
-
4 Replies4.0 GPA. I'm pretty fit. And my social life is great
-
Just the studying part. The one semester I kept my game packed in my car trunk I made the -blam!-ing Deans List lol
-
...Nah, i like my life
-
No. I'm already socially awkward so I wouldn't have any friends in the first place. It doesn't hinder my work at all. If video games were not a thing I would just be bored all the time.
-
I'm already in good shape, have a very active social life, and work my 40+ hours a week. Destiny (and videogames in general) are just one of those pleasant distractions I afford myself after the above priorities are completed. So to answer your question yes my life might improve if I find something more productive to fill that time with, but I'd probably just watch more tv.

Wait we have lives?
Im just kidding
Depends on how irresponsible you are with it. Im a physician, have a wonderful fiance, and a couple pups. Just have to balance.
-
Not really. I only play when friends are on, or I have nothing else to do. Real life comes first, always, regardless of the game. Its just a game at the end of it all. Means nothing! :)
