If you buy into the statement above then honestly you should be forcibly removed from this country because you're nothing but a historical and political child. Bypassing the rights of the people because of fear of terrorism is the most overused, and most hypocritical excuse in the history of this entire country.
First. The entire point of having social freedoms is completely undermined if we can just rip those apart because of fear and ignorance. The entire reason terrorists use terrorism is to change our society and that's exactly what we have done. Our government has been lying to use for years now. Violating everyone's right to privacy and lying their assess expecting us to to be stupid to question them. Even when a man exposes the corruption and lies we just let the government and media criminalize this guy and we let them drag his name through the mud.
We stood by and did nothing as a people.
Just the act of branding something as "terrorism" or "national security" is an excuse to throw out all the rules. Ohhh... We don't need a warrant because terrorism. Ohh. You cannot view this material because it might lead to terrorism. You cannot do this because of terrorism. It might even be in the form of what the police need. They need military supplies to fight "terrorism."
Well what have the police been doing with the supplies they were given to fight terrorism? They're in the streets occupying cities likes a -blam!-ing military terrorizing people protesting which is a right I might add. The police might as well be a military force at this point. A dead cop is no different from a occupying solider.
If you honestly believe for a second the government wants laws pasted to prevent terrorism then you're nothing but a -blam!-ing fool. They want terrorism laws pasted to bypass the rights of the people and they've been doing this for over a decade now.
Don't be shocked when we have a government censored Internet like a place like China. It's gonna happen with the public's support because the public is going to be scarred shitless of domestic terrorism. People are going to willingly give up their freedom. Maybe because they're scarred or maybe because they're just completely stupid.
And to add to this entire topic let's just talk about how the government wants a back door in your phone. Why is this a problem? Well, having a back door would mean more than just the US government could get into your phone. Governments like China, Russia, and all the other hacker groups would be able to use this back door given enough time. That's the problem with building a back door. Other groups beyond the government can use it. Only completely irrational people would advocate for something as stupid as that shit.
Don't a -blam!-ing stupid. Stop being feared into giving up your rights. What's the point of having a safe society if it isn't a free society? If you're so scarred of terrorism then go live in a bunker underground.

Tl;dr

No if your gonna do it just do it because
-
You can't stop deez NUTZ!!!!!!!!
-
We need anti-murder laws to protect us from terrorism. Oh no! Did I mess up?
-
OPINIONS!!!!! I believe the terrorists have already won. and they don't "win" by blowing themselves up, they win because they make people paranoid and angry at their own government. a successful terrorist attack is not one where the bomb goes off. it's the one that causes new security measures to be forced in, and insecurity towards other races. if we weren't so damn scared of them, they'd have to change up their tactics to try and win, but right now, they don't need that much effort at all.

A Free society and a safe society can not exist side by side. Being a Free Country makes us vulnerable. Either accept it or accept that the Country must fundamentally change to be "Safe". Conservatives understand this fact , this is why we are against gun control , and big government in general.

Didn't read, looked at the tag "Lincoln" and I knew exactly what's going on here.

We need this statement to protect us from terrorism.
-
Well we certainly don't need you to stop terrorism.

They need those shadows for their protection and the protection of their families. On the note of military supplies, would you have police take on terrorists who are carrying assault rifles with revolvers or tazers? Riot police (I assume you were referring to them) do not just assault crowds unless those crowds pose a threat to life or property. I was part of a riot detail in the Reserves during a G-8 summit. We had protestors in front of us. They screamed their protests, shouted profanities at us, and insulted us, but we did not move on them because they were not violent. This is an investigation into a mass shooting with possible terrorism links. The warrant, lawfully obtained by the FBI, would allow them to uncover whether or not this is part of a larger conspiracy or plot against US citizens.

You must be a riot at parties.

Pmsl look at this internet warrior. You must be that quiet adult who is still insecure. I bet you wouldn't talk like this face to face. You would get f'd up

1 ReplyTypical Lincoln post. Saying you're right while providing no facts. Don't worry about copping out and telling me to do my own research. I already have, and agree with some of your points. Still, you've given no facts to prove what you've said here today, and I doubt you ever will. For some reason in your mind burden of proof applies to everyone but you. In all honesty though, you should be more worried about the government taking away the rest of your hairline.

1 ReplyYou know what, you seem to actually be right on something.

A dead cop is no different from a occupying solider.
Habilis agree that government intervention and control not good. Government scares people to control them. Not good. But cops not bad. Some cops bad, not all. Whole not characterized by sum of its parts. Ignorant to say otherwise. Lincoln should be thankful cops keep him safe. *chews manioc*

The U.S. Was founded by terrorism but there is a difference from a revolution and genocide

2 RepliesIt's only going to get worse some leading presidential candidates want to bring torture back to fight terrorism too, the worst part about it is a lot of people are supporting them for that reason. At least when they did it the first time they tried to hide it, suggesting they at least knew it was wrong, now they're just openly advocating for it. You start doing that kind of crap and we lose any shred of moral highground we have left. At that point we're just as bad as them why even have a society anymore.
