Year ones on this forum remind me of those old guys stuck in the 50s or the 70s
Refuse to move with the times and always bag on the superior new stuff while going on about their old outdated stuff like it's still relevant
"Well back in Ma day young sonny fella we didn't have no fandangled sleeper simulant or what ever Doo hicky it's called friend, nah, back in my day we had to earn our gallerhorns the hard way, our gallys would eat up the archeon priest up miles sonny boy"
And then all the old timers jump in and drive the point home
"Oh boy you right Fred these young year twos don't know the struggle, they'll never under stand the feeling of wielding the almighty gallerhorn"
And then it gets worse
"I wish they would bring back phogoth and why, they outta bring back the nexus mind while they at it, you new folk will never understand the fear of being kicked to orbit taking void burn splash damage from up on the ledge on the nexus mind!, but then again , we had gallys back then so never mind all that"
I swear if they got their way we'd all be playing the same stale old game and every one would be using fate bringer , black hammer and *cowboy voice* the almighty g horn.

2 RepliesWhat if... They brought back old stuff at new levels and we didn't have to play just content from 2.0 ? Would that be too much diversity to handle? What if they balanced weapons and you could actually use any old Answering Chord and have a fair chance against a Thorn? Whoa. Mind: Blown. I know, that sounds like too much fun for too many people... that's probably why Bungie doesn't bother with it.

You don't know the struggle of actually earning the almighty thorn. I bet year 2s would be crying and complaining about how hard it is.
-
Year one was just as crap as year two.

2 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 2/1/2016 9:39:13 PMNice try. You know, I don't think anyone has made a serious post in months. The forums are now just non-stop bait and sarcasm, it seems.

1 ReplyAs Destiny is, the only thing worth doing on reset is the raid. Then wait until Friday, then you can run trials. Anything else that you do will drop gear that is no longer relevant. In other words, that's (if your really good) 6 hours of content a week. That's providing you do the "endgame" with all 3 of your characters. The only exception to this is the limited "events". In year one, nightfalls meant something. Running nightfalls, vault of glass, crota's end, trials, and prison of elders would all give weapons and armor that were actually relevant. Thats (again, if you are very good) 21 hours worth of content, that actually has some variation. That's over double the amount of "end game content". So basically, people say year one was better, for the simple fact that it was.

1 ReplyActually it's more along the lines of "Why am I still playing this game?"

1 Replyhaha nice troll. back under your bridge, the sun is shining. we all know what happens to trolls when exposed to sunlight.

2 RepliesWould say bad bait...but so many are biting.

1 ReplySome yes, others no. What you're failing to realize is some of the old content was much more fun than the current content. It's not nostalgia that people are asking for old strikes back. It's because quite a few of those strikes were very fun. But if you've never run then you'd never know that.
-
5 RepliesWhether you want to admit it or not, year 1 was much better then year 2. I know plenty who agree that what we had in year 1 is better then whats in year 2, since they essentially made ALL year 1 stuff irrelevant.
-
1 ReplyJust shows that the year 2's know so Little about the "God of all Guns" that they can't even spell it's name Correctly!!! *Gjallarhorn #YoullNeverKnow

I swear if they got their way we'd all be playing the same stale old game and every one would be using fate bringer , black hammer and *cowboy voice* the almighty g horn.
God, that would be glorious...

1 Replythere was so much more to do in a week. Nightfall was relevant, 2 raids to get through, POE, bouties were more challenging, and the variety in strikes. All that on 3 characters. Playing with friends who enjoyed it. And honestly, there was more variety. Not all used just FB, BH, and Ghally. I preferred VoC/Oversoul eddict, IB, and Hunger. Year 2 is fun and something to do. But have you seen the massive drop off of players? Beta players, Day 1s, and year 1s want this game to be great and it really does have a chance of that. Im sorry, but take away everything from year 1 and what do you have with year 2? just meh. And if you think year 1s can't adapt to year 2, you are on something. Do you know how many different systems we went through? Honestly, Year 2s have it easy.

1 ReplyYou just salty for never getting a ghorn ever

8 RepliesEdited by smashbad: 2/1/2016 8:25:39 PMIt is now abundantly clear you are very butthurt over not having Gjallarhorn, which is understandable because Gjallarhorn is the greatest Destiny weapon of all time. #YoullNeverKnow Tears collected.
Your Year 1 Moments of Triumph are really lacking. One of the many reasons you will never Become Legend. Along with not having Gjallarhorn.
1 ReplyYou again.

Year one PVP without the numerous nerfs. I miss thee. VoG was amazing, when the Vex Mytho was in high demand and getting killed by it in the Crucible made you want one. Dare I say it miss Thorn lol and I dearly miss my Hawkmoon (RIP)
