We now know the original destiny was cut up and restructured a year before launch.
We now know The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King content was all originally in vanilla destiny.
Bungie took a $60 game and sold it for $160 once all the expansions were bought (and it still sucks).
The worst part? Bungie lied to us repeatedly, telling us they didn't rework the story; that this was new content.
Then there were all the ridiculous mistakes, buffs, nerfs, more lies and terrible public relations throughout.
The biggest lies include: Deej 12/2014 "We don't want you to look at your favorite gear and decide it's no longer relevant. We will honor your time spent grinding and earning that gear" when aetheric light was announced.
Or the latest lie: "We don't do Skill Based Match Making." ... "Ok, we do use SBMM, but we've stopped. Honest."
We then find out Destiny 2 has been pushed back indefinitely and there are no future plans beyond a lame doubles pvp valentine's event. This is after Halloween and Shitty Racing League, which were just excuses to get you to buy silver.
Two days later, Harold Ryan, the previous CEO is fired.
Protip: when a CEO "steps down", you know he's been fired if the new CEO says a few words. If the old CEO truly stepped down, he says a few words, not the new guy.
So it's clear destiny is done. There are no new plans or bungie would already be telling us about them, hyping them, telling you to pre-order them.
All they had planned was tiny live events. That's all we've heard about since September, 5 months ago.
No wonder the old CEO was fired.
So by now the desticles are screaming "omg there [sic] making destiny 2! Ehrmagerd!" ... are they? Where have they stated that?
They haven't. It's pure speculation that they're making destiny 2.
Plus, even if they were, it's been delayed to 2017, at the earliest.
Sad truth is bungie doesn't have a clue. All the talent has left long ago.
Look at recent history, this company couldn't even write a contract to keep the voice talent of Peter Dinklage for 2015, blaming "stupid Hollywood reasons". ... Seriously? Grow the -blam!- up and do your homework! Companies are able to retain talent for decades, you just need a competent team. I suspect Dinklage saw how amateur bungie is and just got fed up, like Joe Staten.
... and that's it. Bungie is so amateur they had no plan other than "let's lie, cheat and steal, sell a $60 game for $160 and then. ... ??? Profit!"
If I'm wrong, show me where bungie has given any indication that this supposed 10 year plan is real, and being implemented.
...
Oh that's right, you can't.
EDIT: I write these posts because I love what Destiny could be.
I call bungie on their bullshit so they know they're not fooling anyone, and that they'll be held responsible.

1 ReplyEdited by Ardendor: 2/1/2016 7:11:57 AMHaven't read yet, will probably see incoherent rambling, stating own opinion, bítching, no actual "proof". Edit: Incoherent rambling ✅ Stating own opinion✅ Bítching✅ "Proof"❎

This is more theory than fact. But it could be true.

Assertions, assertions everywhere! And not a single citation to be found.

12 RepliesWhy do scrubs insist on creating posts saying Destiny is dead? You have one character - at 300 light only. Why dont u shut up with ur useless scrub opinions and go play other games instead of crying on forums when you can't reach the level max for any character in the game? Honestly - I think it's time Bungie puts in locks on the forums to prevent scrubs mouthing off

Aaaaaand Muted

2 RepliesI'm still waiting for that 100$ free DLC I already preordered it
-
I like how you use destiny 2 being pushed back (complete rumour) as a negative thing then try and discredit the fact they even making destiny 2.
-
"Proof" is a strong word to use for crying over bullet points how upset you are about Destiny. Disappointed.
-
Who gives a crap? I don't INB4 why reply. So many games out and coming why hold onto something that was lame. I'm looking forward to the many different, cheaper and more rewarding games coming.
We now know The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King content was all originally in vanilla destiny.
Not quite sure how you can "know" something when it's bluntly false. 3 RepliesEverything is really speculation until it comes from the horse's mouth. Now if only that horse would talk more often...

There's a whole lot of crap in the OP you can say, "Well, that's not really accurate." But, all that really needs to be said is that there is a plan, you just don't know it. You don't know a lot of things.
-
Tl;dr op claims the fact that bungie hasnt told us anything about whats next proves that destiny is dead. Sounds legit.....imately retarded.

1 ReplyEh, at this point you should just do what I do: Play other games and browse the forums in case anything significant comes along. Maybe go back and play every once and awhile on top of that (if you want to get that Destiny feel going again). Otherwise you're just going to burn yourself out complaining about something that you have very little control over (I'd know lol). But hey, you do you.

Me 3 weeks ago would have ripped you apart and gave you to cannibals. But, after leaving destiny for 2 weeks and playing GTA/Blops/Just Cause 3 has opens my eyes to what really is going on. You are 100% right man. All that is left of Bungie is Deej, and he doesn't even work on the games. I Imagine that the current content drought is because of lack of funding, which would explain the random introduction of micro transactions, to try and scrounge up enough cash to make another Dark Below.

Edited by Some Black Guy: 2/1/2016 3:52:37 AM"The court papers reveal a rare, unseen story of the making of Destiny, and the internal struggles that happened between Activision, the publisher, and Bungie, the developer of the game that is now played by millions." Destiny lawsuit won by O'Donnell. This all is pretty accurate lol

5 RepliesNobody read these days. If you people read O'Donnal's law suit you knew these statements are accurate.

1 ReplyI am a business guy and have worked at big companies. While your post is emotional, I agree with you more than I disagree. The story of how Destiny / Bungie has played out is accurate as you describe it. If Bungie owed me money the story as it has happened would make me call them and have them confirm that nothing is wrong. If they failed to confirm that, I would be calling my attorneys very quickly. Hate to break it to all the people who are using their reason of "no factual proof" to continue living in denial, but the story as it has happened is a fact and is reason enough to have serious doubts about what is going on.

Woah there, this is #destiny. You're making too much sense

Interesting read. Destiny can be better. It needs to be better. Same applies to Bungie. Crimson Days... really? The WoW players know a new expansion is coming in September 2016 or earlier. It was announced at Blizzcon. Including a cool cinematic and some presentations. We won't get any content anymore. But we can look forward to the expansion and guilds like mine continue their quest to clear the raid on the highest difficulty. To be honest, I expected a cool Bungie presentation back then. I had to leave shortly before Bungie was on the stage. After I came back, I was so disappointed about SRL. I even thought it was a joke, or just a short intro about a stupid event before the actual DLC trailer. You all know SRL was the only reason Bungie showed up there. All those publishers with new titles and stuff and then Bungie comes with SRL. Haha. And now? PvP Doubles Event? Still nothing major in sight? Come on, please!
-
1 ReplyIt would be funny and they pulled a Halo 2 by showing a badass trailer and not having an actual game
-
Bungie, I love Destiny but what this guy has to say has some solid truth to it (even if extremely biased). Please respond to this forum post. Please show us that Destiny will only go in a better direction from here. And to the new CEO, please have the company take pride in providing quality games, not in making massive profit. Video games should be more about entertainment and art than profit.

Edited by Thane: 2/1/2016 12:10:36 AMI have one, proof that they rode the "10 year" BS for sometime then denied it a while ago (for obvious LOGICAL reasons/MASSIVE unknown investment). https://www.pixeldynamo.com/news/gaming/2015/09/21/80970/bungie-denies-having-a-10-year-plan-for-destiny/ An excuse that would work if you were around 12 ...... Probably less. Calm down though. If they don't get their shit together (seems to be in that tough process), there will be no third year (their loss not yours).

I don't appreciate how tight lipped they are even when they did announce anything. Oh one event is gonna be blah, and this one is gonna be this big.....can ya tell us that at least the next one isn't another pvp event. Cause frankly I'm done with pvp, why is that the focus?? Most of us bought this game for the story, and us pve players are just left sitting twiddling our thumbs waiting for answers on: what's the traveler? where in the hell did the exo stranger come from and where is she now? Is the queen in fact dead? Is her brother dead?? Eris blam!-ing evil?? Who is the guardian in the pod in cades stash?....literally I could probably go on all day
-
This game sucks
-
Who the -blam!- cares I know more games who have waited years for content Stop your -blam!-ing whining
