This is how me and probably most of the community feels.
Edit: thank you guys so much for the great ideas we have rolling! Maybe bungie will actually listen if we get enough bumps.
Edit: people being salty because it is triple wreck or because they just don't feel like being happy. We can all have a calm conversation and talk like normal people.
Edit: all the points are great! We all agree destiny could be better and we want it to be better
Edit: some people don't understand the point of the video.
Edit: on Twitter bungie announced new matchmaking on Wednesday!! Yeah!! We did it!

5 RepliesHow do people give in to this? He's literally complaining about how skill shouldn't be required to play pvp... SBMM puts you up against opponents who are around the same skill as you. This guys saying he doesn't want to fight people his skill level. Idiot. And you bought into him? Bungie will eventually kill Destiny...
With Destiny 2.
Here's a easy way to be him. First, grind to get good weapons. Hop into a crucible match. SBMM gives you enemies who are worthy of battling you. Battle them, lose. Make a video about how you battling enemies that actually stand a chance of winning should be removed. Post it. Profit attention. You're an anttention horder.

Bump.

I'm ok with skilled based matchmaking. I just want them to match me with people in my country other than that it's good
-
Bump to Triple and you for putting this up. Lets hope they see this thread and video.

Triple was calm, well thought with all his points and verbalized it very well. Bungie needs to start listening to the community and the guys who make a living streaming and doing videos for them. They love the game have the hours into and have a good feel for the game and pulse of the community. The negative in hear is human nature to take shots at the good guy or a top player.

2 RepliesI love triplewreck. Everything he says is sex

17 RepliesFirst, Triple's solution couldn't fix the problem. If Bungie split the playlist down the middle (Control/SBMMControl; Clash/SBMMClash; etc), it would just divide the player base more. A lower player pool per playlist = lower chance of playing both someone in your area AND your skill. Secondly, it comes down to using gear and playing in a way that is humble and respects the other players. Everyone knows that TLW and MIDA are THE competitive weapons. So, show some humility and don't use exotics if you want to play casually. Triple has the chance to lead by example and show the community what it means to play reasonably and casually (when it calls for it). The community will grow if the majority of people feel like they have a fair chance at the win (lag, skill, availability of weapons and armor). Both sides, developers and community, should try to meet that standard.

2 RepliesWELCOME TO THE RICE FIELDS MOTHER-blam!-ER!

3 RepliesSkill based is right for this game. The streamers will get used to getting rolled once in a while.
-
SBMM was not implemented for a top tier player like Triplewreck, it is there for new, below average or average players. Ranked playlists is not answer, fixing the lag by changing the games network architecture and handling of crappy connections is.

I quit playing destiny over two months ago and came back to the it due to beating most of the recently released games. I for one am not thrilled about the direction bungie is taking the game. Destiny has an infinite amount of potential! I've been playing since day 2 of its release back in 2014 and I've seen the good and bad of the game and all I have to say is that this game is getting progressively worse and Bungie needs to step up and fix all the problems that keep players from having an enjoyable experience.

Edited by High Charity: 1/24/2016 10:38:40 PMI'm only at 1.1 or so and I still can't get into a single game without an insane amount of lag. So please, tell me how SBMM is 'working fine'. I'd love to hear some thumbless idiot's half-baked drivel of a thought. Note: not for OP. This is directly for the people who think its fine either because Bungie or because they actually think it's a good idea. In a competitive game, yes it is. Destiny is not, by any means, competitive. It is, at its core, incredibly casual. And that's okay. You can't make it competitive without changing the way the game works on a fundamental level.

While he makes some good points some of this video I disagree with. He doesn't know how t make a video game. He is just stating his OPINION
