This is how me and probably most of the community feels.
Edit: thank you guys so much for the great ideas we have rolling! Maybe bungie will actually listen if we get enough bumps.
Edit: people being salty because it is triple wreck or because they just don't feel like being happy. We can all have a calm conversation and talk like normal people.
Edit: all the points are great! We all agree destiny could be better and we want it to be better
Edit: some people don't understand the point of the video.
Edit: on Twitter bungie announced new matchmaking on Wednesday!! Yeah!! We did it!

2 RepliesOr "playing against people of equal skill has killed my popularity."

You think they care what he says? NOPE. That kid plays their game ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. Never goes outside. He basically lives on Destiny. So they could literally give no -blam!-s. If he has bad things to say they just wont invite him back for another live stream event like they did before.

5 RepliesSounds like someone can't crush anymore. These twitch streamers just need to use more coke, meth, speed than they already do. Then they can get their k/d back to bormal. Bunch of druggie losers.

7 RepliesEdited by Magnus: 1/26/2016 3:48:03 AMMy god you guys are complete and utter morons. Did you even watch the video? SBMM is like forcing everyone to play Ranked in every playlist all the time regardless of connection. It has nothing to do with wanting to stomp lower players all day. Sometimes people want to get on and have casual matches. Maybe even party up with other players of equal or less skill and just have fun. Skill based should be completely optional for the player. SBMM prevents that and doesn't care about connection at all. Connection should come before anything in a P2P game. Why a playlist called Ranked can't be made is beyond me. The state of crucible is completely garbage and most of you look like total idiots defending it.
-
1 ReplyRemember how Halo had ranked playlists and social playlists ? Seems like an easy solution for the company who made that game
-
2 RepliesEdited by PsychoTech ARMS: 1/25/2016 6:04:24 PMThey should just make separate PvP playlists for such things. A casual playlist that is based on Connection. and a Ranked that is based on Skill as well as Connection. if you want to just sit back and steam roll over casuals, do that. If you want to prove your Boss status, play ranked. or better yet. Get dedicated servers. they can afford it. don't give a shit what any Desticle says.

Triple is just upset because he can't pub stomp anymore
These retards probably didn't even watch the video.

Very true. Bungie needs to wake up, when u got guys like this who have lived this game and are becoming frustrated and burnt out there is a problem. They say they listen to us but not so sure. Probably why I haven't played in two weeks or so.

Edited by Senor Crouch: 1/26/2016 7:32:32 AMWell he's not wrong about the lack of open communication (and don't anyone at Bungie tell me that your communication is working as intended). I've been bickering about this since year 1. They have...or well had a fan base that loved them, looked up to them, glorified them. Why would Bungie even want to shut themselves away from that to begin with? He's also got a point with the line he made towards the end, "When you feel like it is something you are actively fighting against, that is when it is time to stop." The last thing I asked on #Destiny before I stopped playing was, "Is it really worth the headache of trying to deal with you guys?" "You guys" referencing Bungie.

7 RepliesThis "casual play" that all these players want to have can only be achieved in a NON stat tracked playlist. Once the "peril" of losing face by having stats get dropped is removed, players can use whatever gear they like and stomp or get stomped on with no worries. At this point of course, skill doesn't matter so lag free environment is all that is needed anyway. If people like Triplewreck were BEGGING Bungie for a non stat tracked playlist to blow off steam in, and a slight relaxation of SBMM in the normal playlist to ease lag at the high levels, then I could respect that position. What we have however, is Triple BEGGING for the removal of SBMM in the normal playlist so that he and others can have their "casual, fun games" there.. presumably while still maintaining their stats. I have seen other people insisting that the "casual" play they want should be where they can "have fun AND do well", or "use any loadout I like and not get stomped on by the meta". All of which is just a thin veil on "I want to play with rubbish players so that I can have fun". If the high profile community members start calling for a solution that ACTUALLY solved the problem they are identifying rather than calling for a solution which doesn't fix the problem that they claim, but happens to make their lives easier. - I would have much more respect for them. And yeah, sure, we all hate lag, and it would be lovely for all the streamers and youtubers to have some new content on the horizon to build hype over and make content creation simpler, but that's all just a SMOKESCREEN for this whole "every match is sweaty" problem. In my opinion.

8 RepliesHow can you tell where a person is from in the game. If I am playing people they could be next door or England. I would not have a clue. How can all of you tell? off topic: why do streamers go back to orbit after a Trials Match and then go right back in. Does it effect the match making?

Game hasn't been this balanced in a long time (when talking solely about the weapons and classes)... Yeah sure triple totally balanced because the two strongest things are things you've always used. High aim assist snipes with them sweet montages bro and TLW which we all knew was your favorite primary year 1

Edited by Crota bin Oryx: 1/26/2016 4:32:59 PMAround 6:56 where the discussion is that "for multiplayer I would happily play it without any new content..."... nailed it. Cheapest way for Bungie to make money from PvP lot! There's your q Bungle, at least this way you can make money from your PvP as you don't need to release any new content and sweaty awesome players will keep con (this is not a typo) entertaining themselves. I agree with everything although and not to forget that in the beginning of video he says that he feels sorry for people who want to play it for PvE experience only. That hurts more then anything else... Also, playing with my Titan I always end up in sweaty matches but for my lock it's just normally below average punks like me. It's totally different experience. My lock is my day 1 pvp and it's stats are horrible as I learned on it. I recently switched to Titan and so the stats are slightly better (nothing worthy of mention) but still I feel the difference as I am pretty below average in PvP and Titan just ends up in 24x7 grinding sweaty matches he's talking about and it's no fun for me (apart from IB).

I liked his analysis.

I didn't realize how big of an issue the skill based matchmaking was on Destiny. No wonder I face nothing but try hards in Mayhem Clash...
-
Another big point he made that I have personally seen. Are we to now get all new friends to play the game with so we are all the same skill level? Cause if you buddy up with someone better at crucible than you now you get drug into matches where you constantly get rekd. Is that the goal? That is an actual question from me to sandbox crew. Should we have to only play crucible with guys of the exact same kd as we have now to avoid this? Maybe things should be thought about before implementation. I mean I can go play a few matches alone after to restore my lost kd but how long does bungie expect this kind of thing to go on before guys stop playing crucible together?

4 RepliesTriplewreck is just salty because he can't pubstomp and spew out repetitive montages like he used to

A quote from the movie The American President...... Lewis Rothschild: They don't have a choice! Bob Rumson is the only one doing the talking! People want leadership, Mr. President, and in the absence of genuine leadership, they'll listen to anyone who steps up to the microphone. They want leadership. They're so thirsty for it they'll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there's no water, they'll drink the sand. President Andrew Shepherd: Lewis, we've had presidents who were beloved, who couldn't find a coherent sentence with two hands and a flashlight. People don't drink the sand because they're thirsty. They drink the sand because they don't know the difference. Are we drinking the sand because we don't know the difference? While I agree with some of the things Triple has touched upon, right now he is our only voice. Bungie needs to break the silence and give us something to be excited about, to keep us going. The silence is deafening.........

12 RepliesJesus Whilst I agree with most of his points about the deterioration of PvP - I cannot believe his comments about skill based matchmaking (other than lag) He's basically saying he can't enjoy jumping into matches with noobs and wrecking them - SERIOUSLY? you think us noobs enjoy getting paired with top players and getting destroyed? You think that's fun? Lmao If they add connection based matchmaking to the skill based matchmaking parameters then in my opinion - problem solved However for top players like triplewreck - they will continue to moan because they won't be able to "have fun" wrecking poorer players Pretty poor show tbh
-
Tripledick only wants to beat up on noobs to up his K/D. What's this shit about getting all "sweaty"? Please, it's called not having your shit handed to you.
-
I'm a scrub in crucible and I totally agree with him.

3 RepliesEdited by Crakkity Jones: 1/25/2016 3:38:56 PMYou have to wonder if he is pissed that he can't just pub stomp for hours at a time like he used to.

8 RepliesHe's right. Its hard to have fun in a normal crucible playlist when I have to go 110% every game. Keep that stress in trials
