Bungie, Can You Nerf Shotguns? I Mean, They Have Had 4 Nerfs And Nothing Has Changed
shotguns on this game are easy to get kills with, they are cheap kills and just every annoying to play against on crucible. i know everyone who votes no will be the ones who use shotguns but at least realise that shotguns are very easy to get kills with. any noob can pick a shotgun up and use it like a pro. try using a sniper and realise the skill it takes to use a shotgun.

Think shot guns in this game have to much range go play some cod with the Argus shot gun thing is like a sniper or even the first one you get with long barrel it wrecks. Or even shoot one in real life and you will see the damage I can do with the right cartridges used

I can understand the post due to the amount of salty shotgunners demanding sniper nerfs but pls, don't stoop to their lvl. Nerfs r killing this game. There used to be guns people were desperate to obtain and would grind for, is there any left? No, cause anything decent gets nerfed to hell.

After all, it is a shotgun and should be that lethal from close up. What annoys me is that every now and then, I'll run into someone using the same shotgun as me (conspiracy theory) and we'll hit each other from the exact same range and shoot at the exact same time and I'll leave him with a sliver of health but he kills me.

I think you just have to be more cautious and thoughtful when using a shotgun now. However, it -blam!-ing annoys me when I fire my shotgun at the appropriate range and I can't -blam!-ing track these assholes who run -blam!-ing laps around me. IF YOU ARE IN WITHIN SHOTGUN RANGE AND YOU ARE HOLDING A SHOTGUN, YOU SHOULD HAVE CONTROL OVER THE SITUATION! Here is my conclusion: shotguns should have 100 aim assist so that some asshole can't just float over and be in the safe zone. This way it's easier to hit targets. Dicks.

To that I say: this game has some of the weakest shotguns of any game that uses shotguns. Ever. If you're so close I can see the stitching on the side of your armor, you can bet your ass it's gonna get shot off. It seems what you want shotguns to become something with range equivalent to melee.. which is just dumb

12 RepliesI love how people who CHOOSE not to roll with a shotgun, then expect everyone else to do the same. People could make the exact same reverse argument. I've been sniped by someone across the map numerous times, and I always think to myself "good for you", I left myself exposed, so I get what I get. People choose their tools to get the best results; crucible isn't about finding the whiniest bitch on the two teams, and only using the weapons they allow. These posts are always so stupid.

1 ReplyPersonally I think that shotguns need a BUFF. Snipers are currently being overused and I think a buff to both shotguns and fusion rifles would encourage more diversity in matches. And just for clarity, overused does not mean overpowered.
