So elimination is basically snipers?
Grinding through the boring pvp quests. I've never bothered with trials. This is such a boring game type. Nothing but snipers.
Well done bungie on destroying your legacy.
Edit: four games in, nothing but sniper battles. Switched to imago loop and telesto out of sheer boredom.
Edit2: if this gametype is for 'skilled' players then why are they all using mida and 1000yard stare? A good player can use any gun.
Edit3: someone start a petition to rename elimination to snipers and revive-spawn camping. Its catchy.
Edit4: man, some of you guys are very salty! For those that get the point I was trying to make, thanks. If everyone uses the same setup constantly it creates a stagnated play environment. After getting bored of snipe-offs I resorted to jumping round corners throwing grenades and firing my telesto. It was fun. Some guys on my team followed me. Yeh strategy has its place but it has less place in a first person shooter which is meant to be fun.
For those that focused exclusively on my skilled players line and got aggressive, chill. I'm not saying anything about your skill or how much skill it takes to press a button. I'm sure you guys would love to have an argument about your dick size all night, good for you. I'm sure if you all had the worst snipers with no aim assist you would all be the best. Honest.
Final edit: If everyone could start using fusion rifles and side arms just for shenanigans that'd be great. Vie la revolution.

I know how you feel man. I once played a 2v2 match and the first thing my teammate did? Pull out a sniper. Turn a corner and LO AND BEHOLD...both enemies are using snipers on a ridge.

Let me answer your question seeing as you're too thick or too ignorant to know why people only use tlw/mida+1kys 1. If a good player plays against other good players using better weapons, he's putting himself at an unnecessary disadvantage. 2. Therefore he uses the best weapons because the best weapons and good players produce the best results. Why use terrible shit when everyone around you is using the best weapons?

I used pulse and sniper but I stick to my primary But I yeah I hate this current meta, any meta that is dominated by a exotic weapon is bullshit

3 RepliesPeople use the same set up due to the way guns are balanced. Year 1 was blink shotgun. Year 2 was dominated by pulse rifle until nerf. I hardly see a pulse rifle now. And at present it's mida and snipe. Can you blame people for using these weapons, not really. It boils down to weapon balance.

I "liked" your post but skilled players will only use the best guns. Being smart is part of being skilled. There's a small variety of useful guns to choose from, most others aren't as competitive.

As a poor sniper if im with guys sniping i pull out my shotgun and flank....a lot of people hard scope so use safe routes and flank them. Its funny to see people soil themselves as you flank. Doesnt always work but is a very viable counter to snipers

yes sniping is ruining crucible ,its nothing but 1000 yard stares ,and the rest of sniping rifles you look at other players set ups before start a game 90 percent 1000 yard stares 5 percent other snipe guns 5 percent the shotguns

as for your edit 2. There is truth to this to a degree. But there are weapons in the game that are noticeable better than others while others appear better due to ease of use. Some weapons get to utilize both of these features. So they generally give you the highest chance to win, so you will see them the most. Some of them also allow people to perform slightly above their actual skill level for the same reasons. So again you will see them the most. Last people get killed by them the most so think they must be the best so start using them and if they weren't smart enough to figure that out the internet told them it was the best.
