How did you get enough coins?

Weekly heroic on one character week one. Wasn't enough for the red death. Got bummed on no primary.. And by the time xur came week two i had made a warcock to do the heroic on both characters for the ghorn. And most of my buddies didn't buy it because they 'didn't want to waste their strange coins on an exotic rocket launcher' 'waste their exotic slot' Lol
