Go back to Call of Duty kiddies who call sniping "hard scoping". You're not fooling anyone, we know you're awful.
Standing back and aimed is sort of the entire point of the weapon class.

I think it's funny that your post is pretty much about how stupid the term hard scoping is when it comes to sniper rifles, which are meant to be aimed with a scope. But so many people automatically turn it into the same old garbage shotty vs. sniper / my game play is better / hit detection is broken / etc. arguments that trash these forums all over the place.

No probleem with quickscoping or moving and strafing while ADS but your shots should be less accurate when doing this... This can be done by altering the size of the red dot and your bullet will end up somewhere random in the red dot. Upon initial ADS the red dot is very big, after 2 secs ADS it's in the smallest size, moving makes it bigger again, getting hit too. No more stupid quick scopes, no more double taps from 20 feet while under fire.

Bungie should put a breath/aim on snipers so you have to hold your breath to pull the trigger. Shit has gotten ridiculous. I was playing trials yesterday and got right up next to a person hard scoping. I stood there for about 5 seconds before killing him. His team mates were doing the same thing on other corners. That's how desperate people are to get a kill in this game.. Instead of playing at a fast pace, everyone wants to sit back and just wait. You guys do know you can be 2 feet from someone and just pull the trigger and the 1k cheat will give you a one shot kill even if it hits the toe, right? Which that's another bullshit thing about snipers. They can kill you faster then a shot gun at 5 feet away. But you cry babies got them nerfed cause you don't want to die at 5 feet away, you want to only be killed at 1 foot away.. .So you still have your advantage. Snipers should give out zero damage at 10 feet away so they are used as intended.. Not like shot guns. Make them breathe or hold their aim and make sure it hits the head and not the shoulder, balls, toe and get a kill.

Since the shotty nerf there has been a huge up spike in snipers. As Bungie dont like anything to be used too much they now need a nerf, they should still OHK to he head but the ADS time should be increased, the weapon ready and put away time should be increased, if you get shot whilst ADS then your sight should get properly rocked or even knock you out of ADS all together to counter this the red glowing sight whilst ADS should be removed.

16 RepliesPlease explain to me how having your sniper scoped in at one spot on a doorway for 15+ seconds waiting for someone to walk through, allowing you to get a kill without moving your thumbs whatsoever is any better than some dumb f.uck crouching in a corner with a shotgun, waiting for an easy kill. Neither situation requires you to aim or have any skill. With the amount of aim assist and lag compensation this game has, you can even be late on pulling the trigger and still get the kill. Unless you can spot an enemy, pull out your sniper, aim, and reliably get a headshot within 2-3 seconds(which is actually a pretty long time) with shit loads of aim assist, your sniping isn't taking a whole lot of effort or skill.

Snipers are OK, leave them alone. Repair Fusions and buff Sidearms. It's more of the Help/Support/Repair-your-blam!-game forum's topic anyway.

You'll notice a trend amongst the people who say true sniping (hardscoping / camping / etc) is a bitch form of play in any game. It's usually the people with the attention span of a fruit fly.
