Go back to Call of Duty kiddies who call sniping "hard scoping". You're not fooling anyone, we know you're awful.
Standing back and aimed is sort of the entire point of the weapon class.

14 RepliesDon't really give a shit about hardscopers. They are kind of pitiful actually. They set their sights at head level so when the person walks around the corner, the aim assist will follow their head briefly for an easy headshot. It's sad tbh. I've never seen a skilled pvp player hardscope. EVER. But anyways I'll just jump over their scope and continue on my way. Doesn't make your play style any less boring and pathetic though. [spoiler]BTW I don't play COD.[/spoiler]

They think there is skill or technique in sniping and anything relating to actually using it at the intended range is trash lol. Probably because of the golden years of CoD, but mostly because it's annoying to be hit by someone who "camps".

4 RepliesTried explaining to my 11 yo son that "hard scoping" is the only real manner in which a sniper rifle would be used irl and it makes no sense to complain that a guy "hard scoped" you. I told him stay out of the sniping lane and flank the guy the way you should when a sniper is scoping

I do a combination of hard scoping (when I'm trying to prevent a rush I know is gonna happen) drag scoping (preventing a rush I did t know was gonna happen) and quick scoping ( I'm to close to actually shoot them so I try and get lucky and put a punch at the end)

4 RepliesFinder a spot on the map to sit the entire trials round scoped in on doorways - hard scoping. Drawing me into a choke point and aiming in with you sniper at my head before I pass through - smart sniping. I would say the definitions are just different in this game.
