Please tell me why it shouldn't if you disagree.
Edit:
When I made this post I was already taking into account the other changes SB's are going to receive. When the patch drops all these reasons people keep posting will change. So pretend the patch is out and all those changes are in effect, now tell me why hungering blade should continue to heal without a cooldown while sunbreaker's will be unable to.

1 ReplyBecause you actually have to get into melee range for hungering blade to work

8 RepliesEdited by Mute 000: 12/8/2015 11:47:36 AMLet's see... Hungering Blade / Arc Blade lasts for about 1/20th of the time that HoS does Cauterize isn't just for HoS while HB IS just for Arc Blade/Blink Strike. Hungering Blade can only be triggered by an arcblade attack during super use and not by DOT or grenade Hungering Blade health regen mechanics (slower) are different from Cauterize.. Hungering Blade is an up close and personal attack. Not bombs from five miles away. Arc Blade has almost 0 additional damage reduction Arc Blade doesn't have an overshield at all Most people don't even roll Hungering Blade because of the other perks (duration or invisibilty crouch) In it's current nerfed state, Arc Blade strikes don't even mean you'll make contact or kill the person. Blade Dancer doesn't even have a DOT ability and Cauterize pairs up with DOT Blade Dancer has the weakest armor/health/recovery of any class in the game Could go on and on... You got some more apples you'd like to compare to oranges? Fake/Sarcastic Edit to make fun of your Edit: The reasons I see people listing won't change when the patch drops. None of the above will change. Game over. If you wanna try and make a point about SB not needing to be nerfed (Titans gettin ALOT of buffing on this update too btw), then you probably shouldn't be trying to compare it to probably the weakest ability class as it currently stands. Particularly one lacking on sheilds and recovery in the first place. This ain't Y1.

I disagree. To kill you, a blade dancer first has to cross a gap, reach you, and then Attack. If you let them get that close to you. As weakly armored as they are, they deserve the heal. A Sunbreaker has more armor, additionally, they have the ability to kill from across the room, don't try to argue that "razors edge" is a reliable long range Attack. It's not. Finally, a blade dancer is built on speed, a titan is built on power. What would be the point of them being able to attack so rapidly if the only thing that keep them alive has a cool down?

1 Replyone super is incredible and the other is utter garbage
-
1 ReplyRange ....
-
2 RepliesOk, hungering blade can have a cool down but in exchange, golden gun gets a health regeneration perk, 50% damage reduction, more time that the super remains active and more shots. Sound fair??? No? Ok then stop defending your crutch!
-
1 ReplyRange limitations. While your cauterize procs off of -Hammers -Your charge attack (super related) -Secondary hammer explosions -Special melee kills -Grenades A majority of which are ranged in some way or another. The hungering blade only procs off of -Super kills. Which you can get a max of maybe 4 or 5 if using hungering blade. -Blink Strike if a kill is made off of it. Grenades dont proc it. And given the average statistics shown of sunbreaker k/d versus other specs, it needed to be done for overall balance
-
Its easier to kill blade dancers.......
-
Hammer has much more range. Bladedance is up close and personal. That's why
-
I'm completely fine if golden gun becomes like sunbreaker. If that happens then sunbreaker a should get more stability for precision kills and faster reload speed as well. I would love to have those perks as a sunbreaker

1 ReplyLets see why: Hungering blade: only effective with melee and super Cauterize: effective with everything FIRE grenades, melees, hotspots, hotspots left be melees, hammers, hotspots left by hammers, I think there's more too P. S. : that is an opinion that came from a guy that could care less about what happens with patches in this game... To a point.

These are the ignorant people in the destiny community that make me dislike the game.
-
3 RepliesA perk on an OP super vs. a perk on a nerfed washed up super Do you not see where you're wrong?
-
1 ReplyHungering blade makes sense though, because sunbreaker is a RANGED subclass that doesn't need to endure damage to get kills, blade dancers need to actually get close to kill them, it makes sense to me
-
1 ReplyEdited by Racebum: 12/8/2015 3:11:49 AMdon't nerf arc blade. it's already bad enough GG has the highest kd of any class and was tied with sunbreaker, if you nerf anything that is the only one justified arc blade needs a buff. they went too far
-
Nope. Because with arc blade you can't hit a Kobe across the map to heal. You actually have to be in CQC
-
Hungering blade does have a cool down you mong
-
It's already been nerfed you're an idiot shut up
-
9 RepliesCompletely agree. I never thought sunbreakers were OP to begin with. Best crucible super in the game? I'll give you that but bladedancer is still by far the best overall crucible sub. My 20 seconds of super doesnt change the fact that bladedancers have by leaps and bounds the best passives in the game for the other 4:40 before i get my 20 seconds. However i was fine with every other tweak they made to the sunbreaker, except for the cauterize cooldown. It again leaves bladedancers with a passive ability tied to their super that no other sub can beat. They have the best non-super phase sub. Now, again, they have the best super phase sub too. Just because the majority of the community mains a hunter doesnt make this balanced. It only pleases the majority. If thats their goal then fine. Say that. But balanced? Hell no.
-
6 RepliesBecause it's an issue of "kills over range vs in your face melee kill"
-
Bc arc blade u have to get a close as where hammers u don't and a 3 sec cooldown isn't bad as u think
-
5 RepliesHey if a couple seconds off hungering blade is what it takes to bring the HoS to be balanced then im all for it even if your perk is for grenade, melee, and super and hungering blade is only for melee and close range super.
-
Warlock here: Hungering blade is fine as is, as it requires melee range or that perdicaltable wave attack to povide healing
-
No it shouldn't
-
Cauterize can trigger on long range. (Grenade, hos) Hungering blade can only trigger on melee range.
