Snipers, stop pretending like you're skilled.
Bungie holds snipers hands.....
1: Snipers have ridiculous aim assist.
2: Hitscan: Snipers get instantaneous kills. When a sniper takes a shot in Destiny it doesn't take into account the movement of the enemy and the time it takes for the sniper bullet to hit an enemy. With Destiny you just line up the head shot or body shot and you get a instant hit. But in many games, snipers have to predict where their target will be, not where they are at. If someone is moving to the left of your view and you line up a head shot on the target you will miss. Snipers will have to actually predict where the enemy will be in a few split seconds to get a kill. Now that takes skill.
3: Generous hitboxes. Yup. You can actually kill an enemy without actually hitting him.
4: Perks and more perks.
5: Unlimited special ammo throughout the match. Snipers and shotgunners can use their specials as primaries.
We all know what needs to be done.

These guns are a available to everyone. If you complete the quests from ttk they literally hand you the best pvp sniper and shotgun. If everyone has them then no one has an advantage. If you chose not to use the best all around weapon it's your fault. For every time I miss a shot and still get the kill there is a time I hit my shot and not get the kill. Yes sniping has become very popular and at times annoying the true problem is the people that head glitch.

It is your choice to play the game your way, like not playing the pve end game, but it is another person's choice to play pvp with a sniper or shotgun. This game can not cater to one play style and would suffer more if it did. There is always ways to counter every play style, it is just a problem to be solved. I have never gotten a headshot on someone while not jumping without my reticle being on the enemies head. 2. Most games that have this bullet travel time do not require headshots in order to be one hit kills. 4.Most games have some type of perks or attachments for weapons. 5. Your point is? In some games snipers and shotguns literally [i]are[/i] primary weapons. TL;DR: the only thing slightly more "hand holds about destiny compared to other shooters is the fact that supers charge over time, and not just with kills like the usual "kill streaks" in games. And that's not a problem at all.

No one likes aim assist, but it's practically in every game so... 2. The only game that takes bullet travel into account (that I can think of) is battlefield, so cry about it 3. So I can just shoot randomly and get a kill. Makes sense to me. Hit boxes are also in every fps in some form I believe 4. Don't you dare make this an argument. You can't just say "WAH!! PERKS ARE OP!!" Perks are in every single gun in destiny uncommon and up. Cry about it 5. You obviously haven't played Destiny long enough.. Back in vanilla Destiny, you could get I believe 2 whole sniper clips from a single drop. The only reason they can get special so consistently is because of the fact they make it a point to grab as many special crates as possible. You can have games where you have no special ammo too. Depends on how quick the matches are

There will always be a problem with sniper headshots matching what you see on cam in most games. It's like the input of your action from the control cannot be captured fast enough by the came. Ever feel like you were behind the wall already and then you die? Or the person was looking to the side instead of at you when you got melee'd, shotgunned or hipfired (mostly in cod imo). The cams just won't be able to catch up to the action in current gen. Therefore leading to a lot of "bs" kills.

11 RepliesJust because snipers have aim assist dose not mean they don't take skill. Is the aim assist to much? Yes. Are snipers powerful in the current meta? Yes. If you gave a controller to a player who has never sniped before and said here is a 1000 yard stare sniper kill everyone cause it takes no skill. They would do terribly cause snipers take skill stop exaggerating and being super salty cause you get sniped all the time.
